This work is a selection of Christmas stories (or sometimes chapters) of Lucy Maud Montgomery from different sources and different times. The focus is widened a bit to include a few works about Thanksgiving Day and New Year’s Day. LMM was a prolific Canadian author in the early 20th century whose works were very popular in her own country as well as the United States, and indeed around the world. Perhaps her most read novel was her first, Anne Of Green Gables.

Anne's House of Dreams is a novel by the Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery. It was first published in 1917 by McClelland, Goodchild and Stewart. The novel is from a series of books written primarily for girls and young women, about a young girl named Anne Shirley. The books follow the course of Anne's life. It is set principally on Canada's Prince Edward Island, Montgomery's birthplace and home for much of her life.

One of the most moving and insightful romances and novels of all time, following the early years of an orphan with a remarkable love and appreciation of life and "everything interesting", as she says. A primer for boys about how girls think and for girls about how boys do. Her inquisitive mind opens up adults to her, as well as endears her to them. Her guardian, Matthew, is one of the best male characters in fiction.

A new minister - John Meredith - arrives in Glen St. Mary, a widower with four young children, who have not been properly brought up since the death of their mother, with only their father (easily absorbed by theology) parenting them. The children are considered wild and mischievous by many of the families in the village (who tend only to hear about the Meredith children when they have gotten into some kind of scrape), causing them to question Mr. Meredith's parenting skills and his suitability as a minister.
