The Lost Lady of Limone tells of a modern-day amateur detective who solves a difficult case in Italy. Set in the beautiful town of Limone, our heroine is a 19-year-old girl, Kim. She is employed as a holiday representative, a job she loves but at which she is woefully inexperienced. Presented with an unexpected mystery, she sets herself to solve the challenge with gusto.

The skeleton of a young woman is discovered in the shallows of Salò Bay. The unfortunate police follow their standard procedures, but after considerable effort, they are no further forward. With the greatest reluctance and with significant reservations, they turn to their last resort - an amateur consulting detective named Kim.

Nineteen-year-old Kim is finishing her first season of work around the beautiful lake. A dead body is found on the ferry, and the police are totally baffled and can make no further progress on the intractably difficult case. With immense reluctance, they call in the very unlikely assistance of a consulting detective, who single-handedly cracks open the puzzle and goes on to solve the case.

In The Lake Garda Mysteries Vol 17 Kim finds herself wrapped up in a peculiar case that makes little sense to anyone, especially the brusque Commissario Tommaso she is obliged to work with. It takes some patience, foresight and intense investigation to figure out what actually happened and who did what to whom, and why they were all lying about it.
