lost interest

Was interested in learning more but could not listen to the narrator. She was very monotone and did not read very well. Almost sounded like a computer voice at times. It was like she was reading it for the first time and sounded like she struggled reading it and struggled to create emotion. Lost interest.

Narrator awful

I really wanted to hear this book to understand the concept. The narrator is AWFUL! She is hard to listen to, overpronounces words to the point that she sounds robotic. She does not pause between paragraphs, it is just a run on words that is awful. It is not, by any stretch of the word, easy to listen to. I couldn’t finish the audiobook because of this. Anyone would be better off reading it.

Reader can't pronounce!

This is really hard to listen to because of the mispronunciation. Please get another reader! She must have mispronounced over 100 words. It's so bad I have to interpret what she meant to say and find myself listening for the next mispronounced word.
Yikes!

Terrible reading

I wanted so badly to learn the information provided in this book, but the person narrating can not read.. mispronounces words, puts inflection in wrong places , skips or misreads words altogether snd rereads the same sentence over again so frequently that one must struggle to understand what she is saying. Doesn’t anyone listen to these productions before they are released?? PLEASE do another production of this book with a competent reader so we can benefit from what the author is trying to say!! This was painful to listen to.

Painful listening

The narrator’s performance was awful. I couldn’t get past the mispronunciation of words and (historically common)names. I really could not even absorb the message of the book due to the poor reading.

Good book but bad narrating

Too bad she puts you to sleep before you can get through the first chapter. I ended up buying this book and read it to myself.

Distracting…

I found the manner of speaking in this audio book very distracting. It sounds like a robot is reading it.

horrible performance

I want to give this audio book a better score on content but due to the horrible performance of the reader I can not honestly do that. I spent more time trying to decipher mispronunciation through context and going back to attempt a better understanding of content the author wrote. It was frustrating at least to listen to and a headache to decipher. I give up trying to listen at chapter 12.

Awful Narrator

I think that this could be a really interesting book if it were read by anyone else. She completely ruined it for me.

Poorly done

I’m not sure what’s worse the reader or the grammar in the book. The continent is good as important but the person reading it is doing a really bad job, also some of the grammar is really bad. I am not an English major but I can tell there is some stuff that should’ve been caught during editing. Whoever is the editor of the book should be fired, and the voiceover needs to be replaced. I’m having a really hard time getting to the end of the book because I can’t handle the poor grammar and the voice over
