Free Range is a humorous and quirky compilation of short stories. They were developed over time about a young JD Nirmaier being left with only his own devices and vivid imagination while growing up in the very rural North Woods of Wisconsin. Set during the early nineteen sixties and beyond, the stories are intended to highlight the incredible power and potential of the young (and older) human imagination, especially when left unchecked.

After being launched from their container ships in the Gulf of Mexico, the three specially calibrated nuclear warheads carried by Shahab-3 ICBM’s detonated in space at 10:58 AM, directly over Utah, Kansas and West Virginia. For a fraction of a millisecond, the late morning October sky brightened, the event over with so quickly it was basically imperceptible from the ground.

Normalcy ceased to exist in the United States the instant the Iranian EMP warheads detonated, relieving America of its abundant luxuries and conveniences.
