About this listen

“Just because I don’t run around with a stupid grin on my face all day every day doesn’t mean I’m grumpy.”

Ryan Sosa, grumpy former corporate accountant, has had it up to here with surprises. He didn’t see getting fired coming. And he certainly didn’t anticipate flying across the country to the world’s hippie-est, happiest, most annoying town to save his great-uncle from some mysterious emergency.

Not only is there actual snow on the ground, it also appears that elves on psychedelics have decked Blue Moon’s halls. But he doesn’t have time to be snarky about the impending Winter Solstice and Multicultural Holiday Celebration—whatever the hell that is. Not when he’s got a farm to save, a free-range sheep that he may or may not have nudged with his stupid microscopic rental car, and some small-town veterinarian telling him she can’t take the animal off his hands.

Dr. Sammy Ames has a practice to manage and a fundraising crisis to attend to. She doesn’t have time to deal with a big-city grouch who doesn’t remember being her first kiss ever. Especially not since he wants to dump a sheep named Stan on her. So not happening. No matter how cute—and pantless—Ryan is when he’s drunk.

Besides, as soon as he solves his uncle’s problem, he’ll be on the first flight out of Blue Moon, never to return again.

It will take a Winter Solstice Miracle or perhaps some matchmaking interference from the Beautification Committee to get these two to see eye-to-eye under the mistletoe…unless he’s the wrong Ryan after all.

Every town needs a grump…..

I have binged this series in a week and OMGOSH…… this is my favourite of them all!!! I love a grumpy/sunshine book but this one was extra special. I love all the characters in this little hippie town and all the animals that have shown up in each book! Lucy Score makes me cry, laugh and swoon in all of her books! 🩷
I’m also a HUGE fan of Lila Winters narrating, she brings this grumpy / sunshine to life!! I’m going to go listen again… right now!! Haha

Sometimes wrong is right

Great story, clear, effective and enjoyable narration. The blue moon beautification committee strikes again with this sweet holiday story and of course hilarity ensues.

latest in series

Quirky town with likeable characters. Similar to the other books, different couple. Grouchy accountant meets small town veterinarian.

Lucy Score and Lila Winters does it again!!

By far my favorite Christmas romance I’ve ever read/listened to. If you’re familiar with Lucy’s “Riley Thorne” series then this definitely has the same vibe!! It’s so good.

Can't wait for more!

I love this series. The characters make me laugh out loud, cry, cheer for them, get pissed at them. What more could you ask for in a book? I love the way the characters are carried throughout the series. There is the main storyline, but each of the other characters introduced or focused on in previous books continue in all of the other ones. The characters age in a consistent way. I don't know how to phrase this, but in many series the characters ages will seem to jump around for whatever story the author is trying to sell. They also don't all seem to age at the same time. Lucy Score keeps the ages consistent, and the characteristics appropriate for their ages.
Every book is laugh out loud funny. The characters are quirky and whimsical. You want to cheer for them, or get mad at bonehead moves they make. You feel invested in the entire town.
Each book keeps getting better. This is hard to do in a series. Some of the hardback best seller's start to get tiring after a point. Almost like their antics are forced.
I hope Ms. Stone continues this series for a long time!

FUNtastic Holiday RomCom

This is book 8 in the Blue Moon series - a quirky, small hippie town - but you CAN absolutely read it as a standalone! It is a holiday novel - think Hallmark Christmas movie with some steamy scenes.
Ryan loses his accounting job and is called to assist his uncle with some mysterious issue at his farm in Blue Moon. Ryan is methodical, pragmatic and has 2, 5, 10 and 20 year plans mapped out for successful future.

“I am the Liam Neeson of accounting. I am going to hunt you down, Smith. I’m going to find you and dedicate my life to destroying yours.”

Meet Sammy, the Blue Moon large animal veterinarian, who is always lending helping hand and volunteers for any and all causes. She is pursuing her life’s dream, and let’s say she is far less organized in her efforts than Ryan.
Ryan and Sammy meet when a sheep wonders in front of Ryan’s car and he’s unsure about hitting it, so he brings it to Sammy’s practice for a check up.
From there, we experience Blue Moon shenanigans of the best kind. The ever conspiring and matchmaking Beautification Committee, town meetings, Winter Solstice Festival, animals small and large, and cameos of the Pierce family members.
The Mistletoe Kisser is a heartwarming story of opposites attract, and has all of attributes we expect in a fabulous rom-com - captivating story line, well developed, lovable characters, grumpy hero, small town shenanigans, mischievous animals, meddling best friends, humor, winter wonderland joy, AND most importantly an epic Happily Ever After!
The narration by Lila Winters is phenomenal, it allows you to immerse yourself in the story and feel the warmth of the holidays.
I definitely recommend this gem of holiday cheer to all romance enthusiasts!

A little different Blue Moon tale

A little different Blue Moon tale. I liked it. It made me chuckle. I liked the Christmas theme. I liked that the BC picked the wrong person, but they still worked out.
