Publisher's summary

He didn't kiss me back like a gentleman. No, Derek Price slammed my back into the front door. A beast off his leash.

Emily Stanton's perfect life just became a disaster. She has a trust fund brother looking for a handout, a father who is more board member than dad, and a mother who thinks she should give up on this whole billionaire CEO thing and meet a man with a pre-nup and a yacht.

Oh, and then there's that "misunderstanding" with law enforcement witnessed by Miami's paparazzi. Now her billion-dollar deal is on the line, and there's a naked man in her bathtub who claims he's going to make all her problems disappear.

Charming - and happy to bend the rules when necessary - Derek Price has made a living polishing the tarnished images of the rich and famous. He's never lost, and he never takes clients to bed. Until the dazzling Emily. Derek promised her a win and offered up a lifetime supply of orgasms as part of the deal. But if he can't stop her enemies, he'll end up losing much more than he bargained for.

Author Notes: An enemies-to-allies-to-lovers workplace romcom with a meet-nude, four lady billionaire BFFs, a hero whose many talents include styling hair and picking pockets, the best dang drag queen brunch in Miami, and a shameless romance novelist cameo.

Light, Fluffy and Fun

This book was very light even for a rom-com. It was however, a cute, fun and enjoyable listen.

The story has just enough mystery for you to follow that you didn’t see all of the end pieces all at once.

The male character was made British American for some reason but they opted to not go with a native British male narrator. HOWEVER Stephen Dexter did do a lovely job at it. His voice is very enjoyable to listen to.

Natalie Duke is the female on this book. I have mixed feelings on her but overall enjoyable performance.

Fabulous!

This was fantastic. Hands down. Derek Price is the most perfect catnip of a hero and the end involves some of the best comeuppance in a book ever. Two thumbs up and a double squee cannon salute!

The Price of Scandal

Audio: Stephen Dexter is already in my top favorites so there was no was that I wasn't going to love the narration. In duo with Natalie Duke, the performance was amazing. Such a great job!

Story: I’ve never met a Lucy score book I didn’t love and this one is no exception. From the first time you meet Emily you know that her life isn’t as glamorous as it seems from the outside, and from the first meet with Derek you know he’s going to be a handful. This book is hilarious from the three legged crocodile to the vulgar parrot I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series you’ve got to love the fictional towns/ residences that Lucy(and her writing buddies) creates and the characters that’s fill them.

Loved it!

Great story, awesome narration. I love that the heroine does not need saving, she saves herself- best kind of strong girl power.

A go getter

Emily was busy getting s*** done and had no time for love. So happy she found her happily ever after.

Hearing it the second time around was magnificent

I'm relatively new to audiobooks. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life! I already loved the book, hearing the story cemented it in my heart even more!

This series of books is just so much fun to listen to. I love the camaraderie and friendship between these four women and watching the shenanigans that they get into together.
