"Nexus" è il terzo volume del ciclo "La crocifissione rosea", scritto tra il 1949 e il 1960, una trilogia cruciale per l'autore del "Tropico del cancro". I tre libri, inizialmente banditi dalle autorità americane, rappresentano il percorso della cosiddetta "illuminazione spirituale" di Miller attraverso l'arte e il sesso, fino alla sua piena consapevolezza di scrittore.

Scritto nel 1953, "Plexus" è la seconda parte del trittico "La Crocifissione rosea", un'opera scritta da Miller negli anni che vanno dal 1949 al 1960. It explores work, love and friendship and as with all his work is based on autobiographical experiences- in this book his passionate affair with a dance hall hostess in NY that is recounted in intimately graphic and vivid detail.
