Upon his return home from the battlefields of Europe in 1918, Col Blackwood, a UK Army infantry officer, is reunited with his family on Christmas Eve after nearly four years away. In the midst of telling his children a bedtime story, we learn of Artaban, a Magi priest, and the fourth wise man to present gifts to the newborn King. As a result of dissension among his fellow Magians, Artaban has no other choice but to embark on this journey alone. Though his quest is fraught with challenges along the way that test his courage and stir his compassion, his faith never wavers.

Das Interview entwickelte sich zu einem unterhaltsamen und informativen Making-of-Gespräch, das unter anderem Einblick in die Entstehungsgeschichte, den Schreibprozess und die Figurengestaltung gibt.

Tief in ihren eigenen Machtkampf verstrickt, ziehen Richard und Lady Macbeth mit der Armee gegen die Gesetzlosen am Globe. Aber auf dem Weg dorthin kommt es zu einer folgenreichen Konfrontation. Währenddessen hat der Schattenjäger die Gesetzlosen im Wald von Arden aufgespürt und Julia ist schockiert, als sie die wahre Identität ihres Verfolgers entdeckt. Es kommt zu einem erbitterten Streit zwischen Hamlet und Julia und die Gemeinschaft zerfällt.

Er wird am Strand des mystischen Landes Illyria angeschwemmt und gelangt dort an den Hof des Königs Macbeth. Vom König erhofft Hamlet sich Hilfe, um so schnell wie möglich zurück nach Dänemark zu gelangen und seinen ermordeten Vater zu rächen.

König Macbeth ist tot und Richard und Lady Macbeth stellen sich am Hof als neues Herrscherpaar vor. Aber wie vereint sind die beiden wirklich? Hamlet kennt jetzt den Aufenthaltsort Shakespeares - der mystische Wald von Arden. Die Gesetzlosen beschließen, ihn zu begleiten und auf dem Weg dorthin, den "Globe", eine mächtige Festung des Königs, anzugreifen und so den Herrscher zu schwächen. In den ruhigen Stunden vor dem Kampf offenbart Kate ihre wahre Identität.

Im letzten Kapitel des Abenteuers kommt es zur großen Konfrontation auf den Schlachtfeldern von Illyria. Wird es Richard, der mittlerweile vollkommen dem Wahn verfallen ist, gelingen, die Gesetzlosen endgültig zu besiegen? Oder wird der alte und schwache Shakespeare seinen Geschöpfen ein letztes Mal beistehen, um Illyria vor dem Untergang zu bewahren? Und wird sich Hamlet für die Loyalität zu seinem Vater oder doch für seine große Liebe entscheiden?

Am Globe trifft Richards Armee auf die Gesetzlosen und ein erbitterter Kampf bricht aus. Mit letzter Kraft retten sich Julia und ihr treuer Gefolgsmann Othello aus dem Wald von Arden und beschließen, sich dem Kampf gegen Richards Truppen anzuschließen. Der König ist zunehmend besessen von Machtphantasien. Lady Macbeth, die immer noch gefangen gehalten wird, schmiedet derweil fieberhaft neue Pläne.

Hamlet erreicht zusammen mit den Gesetzlosen Arden. Der Wald ist erfüllt von sprechenden Bäumen, gefährlichen Waldwesen und einem schelmischen Geist. Der Prinz ist noch immer getrieben von dem Wunsch, seinen Vater zu erlösen, aber die Reize der Anführerin der Gesetzlosen ziehen ihn zunehmend in ihren Bann. Derweil ist das neue Herrscherpaar am Hof alles andere als vereint. Sie werden mehr und mehr zu Gegnern.
