A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of Shakespeare's best early works: an airy, romantic romp in the woods among bumbling rustics, temporarily star-crossed lovers, and the charming fairies who bewitch them all. Drawing on a popular English folk legend and annual, Shakespeare weaves a chaotic and comical tale of misunderstanding, mischief, and magic in which, like the dream-state it mimics, no harm is permanent and all is pleasantly resolved by the play's end.

Theatre Royal. The very name summons up something of grandeur and eloquence. And it was. Hosted by Laurence Olivier, these big-name productions also included the creme de la creme of acting talents from John Gielgud, Ralph Richardson and Orson Welles to Trevor Howard, Michael Redgrave and Olivier himself. They were based on works by the world's leading authors, among them Charles Dickens, Henry James, Oscar Wilde and Anton Chekhov. These are but a few of whose company we shall be keeping as we raise the curtain on our first instalment of theatrical history.

Philomena ‘Phil’ Byrnes and her husband Peter ran the Byrnes Private Investigation company in Seattle, Washington; until Peter was murdered at his desk late one night. While keeping the company alive, Phil has been slowly gathering information to try and figure out who killed him. One night she, her business associate Buzzy and their close friend Seattle Police Detective Coleman, go up to Phil's cabin in the San Juan Islands to comb through the information and finally bring the killer to justice.

Newlywed Maggie Haskell has started a life away from Collinsport with her husband, Joe. But before their honeymoon can start, Maggie finds herself trapped in a cabin in the woods with a strange man. A strange man with a familiar face. With time running out, Maggie has to buy her freedom. But her captors will accept only one thing. Who are the faceless men holding her captive, and what do they want? Where is Joe Haskell? And who is the man with the face of Burke Devlin?

Eugene Mirman recognized the opportunity to have Jon onstage at NYC Podfest to relay a funny account of his parents' restaurant recommendation and answer questions about the family's memorable dining experience.

[Contains explicit content] Normally, when Eugene Mirman wants to pause a story to dig for some background information, he tends to do it in a recording studio. On rare occasions, he ventures outside, goes up to Canada, and does his detail-digging live onstage as part of the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. This is one of those rare occasions and the details he's digging for are provided by hilarious stand-up comic Cameron Esposito.

And as a consequence of the stigma, we hear a lot about sex work but we rarely hear from sex workers themselves. But in this episode of Hot Mic hosted by Dan Savage, two sex workers show their work.
