Publisher's summary

A forbidden, Formula 1 romance from New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg.

You don't mess around with a teammates ex. Ever. But that's easier said than done when it comes to Blair Carmichael. She's sexy, intelligent, gorgeous, and one hundred percent off-limits.

And I've never fallen harder.

But I can't touch (when I most definitely want to).

My teams success and my chance at a new contract for next season depend on me keeping my hands on the wheel. And off her curves.

As the season progresses, we secretly steal as much time as we can together in hotel rooms, after races, anywhere we can't be found out. A real romance out in the open would risk her job in the industry, her reputation, and my image not to mention my strained relationship with my teammate.

I've lived my whole life with one mantra. Team first. What I want outside of my racing career hasn't factored in.

Until now.
Until Blair.

She deserves the world and I plan on giving it to her. Even if I have to walk away from the biggest contract of my career.

Oh, Lachlan...

We're back at the racetrack with an unexpected romance: Lachlan Evans falls (hard) for his teammate's ex! If things weren't already complicated between him and Rossi, they now have the possibility of becoming disastrous.
When they have a nice moment while taking a break at an event, Lachlan is mesmerized by the curvaceous, sweet, funny, interesting, witty Blair. From that fortuitous encounter, to an all night chat where neither realizes morning came (at a hotel bar no less), they soon realize that what they have is special, a once in a lifetime thing they can't ignore. However, being together presents immediate problems for both. He's breaking "the bro code", she would be dating her best friend (and now) ex's "rival" and dating a racer may make Blair look bad in the eyes of her F1 bosses. So many things against them... but there are also sweet kisses, "flowers", peppermint candies and being truly and completely SEEN. Who can resist that?
K. Bromberg wrote the most adorable golden retriever, cinnamon roll book boyfriend EVER. Lachlan is everything! What I most liked about him was how in tune with his feelings he was, making it easy for him to really be able to communicate with Blair.
I also love that Blair is the curvy girl who OWN is. And I love how Lachlan is absolutely driven wild by her body AND her soul. What a lovely book!
Narrated dual style by Stella Hunter, who's amazing as always as Blair (and Aussie Lach) and Gary Furlong. It's (I am ashamed to admit) my first time listening to Gary and he was the perfect choice for Lachlan! He does a subtle Australian accent that is just right . He also gives Lachlan all the swoony vibes and I loved it!

Lachlan and Blair

I enjoyed this story! Lachlan and his Australian accent were amazing! I loved how he was adamant about Blair’s job and her career as well as his own. He wasn’t being selfish, he wanted what was best for her first. 💙

Love this series! My favorite hero

K Bromberg has written another excellent book. I have now read it as well as listened to it. I loved the characters. Lachlan is now my top favorite hero ever. He is the perfect man, even though he isn't perfect. At one point I wanted to throw my Kindle at him. My heart was racing through out as I waited for the big explosion I expected. Read the end carefully. I misread, which threw me for a loop at first. After listening, then going back to reread, I am a bit happier with the finish. I just wasn't ready for the book to end. I cannot wait to read the next in this series! I have no idea how K Bromberg will convince me Rossi deserves anyone. Yep. I'm hating on that man.

I’m a sucker for a forbidden romance

Lachlan and Blair were too cute for words!! The will they, won’t they had me at the end of my seat and absolutely unable to stop listening to the audio. When Lachlan instilled the 21 day rule, I almost died. When they broke it and the tension erupted, I did die. These two were explosive and so wonderful together. At the end, Rossi redeemed himself, and I really am a sucker for a Redemption story. So you know K. has me on the hook for the next book too!! Gary and Stella absolutely blew me away switching back forth between accents AND voices. Their talent is unmatched in this audio!! You HAVE to go listen right now!!

Forbidden F1 Romance

I absolutely loved this audio. Actual communication between the MCs and a man who appreciates a curvy woman!
I believe this is the first audio I have listed to of Gary's and the accent of his absolutely blew me away. And when he spoke for the spicy scenes. 🥵 Stella did an excellent job as always - she gave the perfect amount of spunk to the feisty side of Blair.

Be sure to pick this one up if you enjoy:
* Sports romance (F1 racing)
* Forbidden romance
* Teammates ex
* Forced proximity

Full Throttle Series, Bk 3, Lachlan and Blair

Lachlan Evans has grown up with a dream of being a Formula 1 race car driver. With his father's guidance through the years he has worked very hard to keep his eye on the prize and become just that. He's living his dream with the signing of a long term contract in his sights. He just has to have the car and his driving performance in sync this year and that dream will be realized. Keep the eyes on the prize. No wavering from the goal. That is until he becomes friends with his teammates estranged girlfriend and realizes there's more to life then racing. There's Blair Carmichael and the very real need to stay away from her when that's not what Lachlan wants.
This book kept me turning pages and reading well into the wee hours of the morning to see just how this story would turn out. Then once I was done reading it I purchased the audible version and gave that a listen and boy am I glad I did! Gary Furlong (Lachlan) and Stella Hunter (Blair) were amazing narrating this book. I love Gary's Australian accent and he and Stella brought these characters to life perfectly.

Fantastic Narration & Story

The audio is fantastic and I highly recommend listening to this compelling story. Gary Furlong and Stella Hunter do an amazing job bringing the characters to life. I could listen to them both all day long!

Blair has been dating Rossi for a very long time and their relationship has really started to seem one sided. After they break up, Laclan, who is on the same racing team as Rossi starts a a secret relationship with Blair. Things are complicated further as Blair works for the team and just received a promotion. If anyone finds out about her and Laclan, this could jeopardize her career.
Formula 1 racing romance was a trope I didn't realize I was missing out on until this book!

When you know, you know

I'm not sure how I've missed K. Bromberg, but my TBR just had a big growth spurt. I enjoyed so many things about Over the Limit. The characters are relatable, and Lachlan and Blair are super easy to root for. The "when you know, you know" romance works really well for them. There's an almost magnetic pull between them from the start, and K. Bromberg has a writing style that gives us the feel of that pull and so much more. If you've ever had that heart racing, can't get them out of your head, every minute apart is torture kind of love, then you'll understand just how intensely Blair and Lachlan fall for each other. There are also a couple of those love-to-hate kinds of characters. One is just a nuisance, but the other has the potential to be downright dangerous. This one brings me right back to those relatable characters I mentioned. Not that I can relate to being dangerous to others, but I get the emotions of it all. There was one thing that niggled at me through most of the book, which has to do with the whole forbidden part of this romance. I'll skip the details to avoid spoilers, but it was enough that I felt like it was worth mentioning.
Finally, the narration. Gary Furlong and Stella Hunter do such a good job with this book. All of the emotions come through loud and clear, and in my opinion, the performances make an already good book even better.
Over the Limit is part of a series, but it stands on its own very well. As I mentioned, I'm new to this author, so I hadn't read anything but this book, and I didn't feel like I was missing anything. I will say I enjoyed this one so much that I'll be reading or listening to the rest of the series very soon.

I ate this sucker up!

This was a fantastic teammate’s ex, forbidden love sports RomCom. K. Bromberg wrote a delicious plot with lovable characters and oh the tension. She does a fantastic job of giving readers, who aren’t familiar with Formula 1, a look into the ends and outs of the sport while still flowing the relationships and growth throughout. Briar is such a relatable character who goes through great character growth throughout the story. Lachlan is an absolutely swoony golden retriever. Their relationship was such a treat to see develop. As I normally read romantasy this was such a great palate cleanser, I ate this sucker up!

I got the audio of this and man did the narrators do a fantastic job! Both are new to me and they didn’t disappoint. I was iffy about Gary Furlong’s voice (personal preference) but he really pulled off the accent and I loved him! I totally loved Stella Hunter from her first chapter! Great Performance!
