Publisher's summary

The Last Letter is a haunting, heartbreaking and ultimately inspirational love story.“ (InTouch Weekly)

Beckett,

If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have.

I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride.

My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. It’s not fair.

And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart. She’s going to need help.

So if I’m gone, that means I can’t be there for Ella. I can’t help them through this. But you can. So I’m begging you, as my best friend, go take care of my sister, my family.

Please don’t make her go through it alone.

Ryan

Emotional Roller Coaster 4.5⭐

Such an emotional roller coaster. Where do I start?!
Characters:
-Strong, independent, survivor of a single mom.
-Protective, loving, expressive ex-special ops male who is good with kids
-Twins with an unbreakable amazing bond!! One a boy who's protective of his best friend sister. They feel each others emotions and finish each other's sentences

Feelings:
I felt every emotion. All of them!  I laughed, balled tears of joy, sadness, and anger. I was livid when some character got stuck in their heads and happy when I connected dots through the scene. I anxiously awaited certain parts and was even MORE livid when the author made a surprise move that I didn't see coming and hated....but I understood and it made the book that much better because it was like REAL LIFE. Things didn't happen over night nor go as planned.

Overall...I'd give this book a 4.5. It was well written and I absolutely loved it but there were some REAL tear jerkers that I would've usually avoided. Life is emotional enough. As an empathic person, I try to avoid situations that were in this book. In an effort to help the next person,  there will be some illnesses with kids. If you don't want to hear about a child illness...its not for you.

Also, I felt this book would've been great for someone grieving. Showing how someone in a similar situation dealt with losing parents and other close family members.

This is my first read from this author, given the emotional roller coaster that wasn't advertised, I'm a little hesitant to read another. A few days later and some of the blues from this story are still weighing heavy on me. I can't image how this would be for someone that actually went through this.

Emotional roller coaster but worth every second

Where to start with this book... it’s hands down amazing! I went into this book completely blind outside of knowing it was emotional and people loved it. I loved EVERY second of this book, through the good and the bad. Even though there were parts that I hate and made me ball my eyes out, this books makes you think about fate and what we are given throughout our lives. It shows us that we can be stronger than we ever imagine when surrounded by the people we love. I highly recommend this book.

Beautiful, but grab tissues!!!

The Last Letter was deep, meaningful, extremely emotional, so deeply sad and yet so very beautiful. This was my first book by this author and I was blown away.

I absolutely loved the story line involving letter writing, and the relationship that formed between Chaos and Ella via their profound confessions. And later I routed for Beckett and Ella and hoped they could heal and love each other. How could you not? I fell in love with Beckett's heart, his relationship with Havoc, and his love and protection of Colt, Maisie and Ella. I also admired Ella's character in the fight she showed and for never giving up when she often had more than enough reasons to.

This story requires tissues, so many tissues!!! I think it will stay with me for a very long time. Once I feel like I can breathe again, which honestly may not be for awhile, I hope to read more from this author. Teddy Hamilton and Jennifer Stark did an amazing job with this very touching and very emotional story. I especially think Teddy Hamilton did an amazing job with the children's voices.

Great story but a tear jerker

This story was heart wrenching and heart warming. Make sure that you’re ready for a good cry and have a lot of tissues and water nearby to rehydrate.

Ella and Beckett

Wow, this book has all the feels. Yes you will need tissue at times, but not always. This is a great story about love, friendship, loyalty and family. I highly recommend this book. The narration was great as well.
