Since it is a disorder and NPD is not normal, you may wonder why it exists in the first place. There is no exact cause for NPD that has been determined yet. There are various factors that contribute to it and may lead to the development of this disorder in any individual. It can be genetic or develop due to various experiences the individual has gone through. Psychological factors contribute to it in a major way. The causes of NPD are a complex matter, just like the causes of any other mental health disorders.

Story
Narcissistic abuse creates a tidal wave of confusion, hypervigilance, and overthinking. You have trouble thinking clearly, remembering things, or taking in new information. And because these changes are happening to you, you begin to wonder: What's wrong with me? Why can't I make this relationship work? Am I fundamentally broken? And that's exactly how narcissistic abuse works—it happens so subtly that you believe the insecurities you're experiencing are "you" instead of "what's happening" to you. This audiobook covers unique information related to narcissistic abuse.

Individuals with this disorder engage in chronic devaluation and manipulation of their partners, a psychological and emotional phenomenon known as "narcissistic abuse". Unfortunately, the full extent of what narcissistic abuse entails is not taught in any psychology class or diagnostic manual.

Story
The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

This book will help you find your strength.
I would highly recommend this book if you are going through a battle with someone who lives to try to make your life miserable. You need to know that you're not alone and you're not crazy. Many who are dealing with this kind of personality have received years of emotional abuse and feel weak. This story and the strength of God will help you find your strength.

great book
Helped me to accept what was going on in my marriage for years. I did not want to admit or face the reality of it all. This book made it real for me!

This book is a must-listen for everyone
This book is a must-listen for anyone contemplating or going through a divorce with someone with narcissistic traits. It prepares you for tactics from the other side that you would not have considered someone would take. It gives great advice on how to deal with the family court system in the most efficient way possible, and how to make the truth visible to those blinded by the other party's manipulations.

Everything! Absolutely Amazing!
This book pinpoints what you go through being married to a narcissist and what it really looks and feels like. I cried tears of relief because I felt that finally, someone understood the pain I felt for so many years. I put it on replay when I need that reminder. My recovery has just begun but now I feel like I can actually heal and one day be whole again. Absolutely amazing book!!!

I felt like I was listening about my life.
I felt like I was listening about my life. While going through my divorce, I had no idea what my soon to be ex's issue was. I just thought he was an addict. About 1 month or 2 before our divorce, my mother finally figured out what her issue was, a personality disorder. I only wish I knew about this book prior to my divorce, but it still helps now. Knowing that I will be back in the courts in the future, getting advice as to what to do for next time, and best of all, knowing that there are other people in the world that are dealing with the same issue. It makes you feel a little saner while living what seems like, an insane life.

This book is a great listen
author explains a narcissist and how they act within the courts. Everyone has a different story but this book helps with giving you some knowledge about what to expect when divorcing a narcissist. It talks briefly about the "No Contact" rule and PTSD, as well as being robotic and emotionless when dealing with your Narc face to face. This book is a great listen and the author is an inspiration. I suggest to anyone purchasing this book to like the page and become involved in hopes that these courts will stop failing our children and learn about Cluster B personality disorders!

Not my favorite
It wasn't what I was expecting, there were a few good tips in the end on how to take care of yourself after the divorce but it felt like toxic positivity which seemed counter productive to the title. I was not impressed with the reader; the mispronunciation of the word "especially" made me almost turn it off every time. Likely won't recommend to anyone.
