This book gives the history of marriage as a divine institution. It shows what the Bible says about divorce and remarriage. One chapter is given to explaining the causes of divorce.

In the larger and deeper sense of education, John D. Rockefeller was one of the best prepared men of our time. He had all the severity of limitations; he was hindered and harassed by poverty and unfavorable conditions.

As Paul said to Timothy: "Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion." Scripture is not secular history, but a mystery which is most important that we understand! Speaking to his disciples, Jesus said: "In that day you will know that I am in the Father, and you in me and I in you." (John 14) The phrase "in that day" is an eschatological term meaning, "at the end of the journey". In other words, when this age of Caesar comes to its end, you will experience the truth of scripture and understanding.

Man has only one mind, but he has two distinct phases or functions of the one mind. Each phase is characterized by its own phenomena, which is peculiar to itself. Each of these minds is capable of independent action as well as synchronous action. We call one the objective mind because it deals with external things, and the other is the subjective mind. The subjective mind is amenable and controlled by suggestion of the objective or conscious mind.

One can give himself self-suggestion easily and quickly. It takes little training and almost no physical exertion. Once it has been given, the low self takes over and does all the work of putting the suggestion into action. This furnishes us with a tool of the greatest value.

You are told that God became man that man may become God. You may think you are the man that God, as another, became, but I tell you: you are the God who became man, that man may become you! Because my visions which parallel scripture are accurate, I can boldly say that what I have just told you is true. In the 82nd Psalm we are the speaker, speaking to ourselves, saying: "I say, 'You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; nevertheless, you will die like men and fall as one man, O princes.'"

God is all there is. Life is all there is. Therefore, I am one with God in every person, every place, and every thing. Jesus said, “Lo, I am with you always.” I am, that Christ Presence within me, frees me from all negative belief; guides, directs, and supplies my every need. This omnipresent, omnipotent power of God sustains and maintains his creation at all times in perfect rhythm and harmony.

Have faith in success, achievement, health, happiness, and abundance. Have faith in the creative law of your mind, and as you apply the law of your mind constructively, you will grow in faith. Have faith in divine guidance, divine right action, the abundance of the infinite, and the goodness of God in the land of the living.

Do they not believe that the sun, moon and stars are no bigger than they seem? That the bright luminary of the day falls into the sea at night, and rises out of it in the morning. That which is profoundly spiritual is in reality most directly practical. I will tell you a story from scripture which is profoundly spiritual. It is misunderstood in the world, but I know its inner meaning and will show you how altogether practical it is. In all the revelations which await you, there is none so fundamental as the forming of Christ in you. How is it formed? By whom and where is the sphere of the forming? Paul, in his letter to the Galatians, says, "I see that you observe days and months and seasons and years. I am afraid I have labored over you in vain." Now here we are, this crowded week of observing these different days, and this is the season, and naturally it is the year. What did Paul give to the world? What he gave to the world is this: that the spirit of God and the human imagination are one.

Paul tells us that whatever was written in former times was written for our instruction. When he speaks of things "written in former time", he means only the Old Testament. He quotes no other book. He doesn't quote Plato, the Vedas, Upanishads, or any ancient book- only the Old Testament; and he tells us that they were written - these books - for our instruction.

To unravel the mystery of Christ from all the interpretations put upon it is quite a difficult task. We are up against all kinds of misunderstandings of the mystery. Most people believe that it is secular history, and the story has something to do with some historical occasion, and it isn't. It is salvation history. The whole thing is taking place in you, the individual. It's not taking place on the outside at all, but how to convince men that this is true?
