Publisher's summary

The scale of Eve Online meets the game-like Ender’s Game, mixed with the universe and reality of the Expanse, spiced with the multi-role OLD Battlefield (and fully destructible environments).

Sphere World heralded a greater change than the balance of power between the guilds and free player clans.

As Luke struggles with his new reality, his changing future, Brad and Stuart must struggle with the new authority and power they wield. They’re not just dealing with corporations and hostile takeovers. The Factions of humanity each want a piece of Sphere World, and they’ll do whatever they have to to do so.

Sally cares nothing for their problems, only caring about her sole mission. Destroy the Adraxi where they are found. The first scout has been spotted, and she knows that means one thing. Their fleets are coming.

Build the warships, load the dropships, and power up the tanks. The net is going to war.

enjoyable yet felt rushed

I enjoyed the book yet it jumped all over the place without explaining what was happening, why it was happening or where it was happening. the author seemed to expect you to know every solar system name, the group of that galaxy, each planet and why legion was there to defend it.

Really liked it.

Better than book one. I'm interested in how far the storyline can expand. The possibilities are endless.

same narrator, what happened ?

the story is definitely heating up.

surprisingly close to the direction I thought this series was going to go. I was picturing something along the lines of Ender's Game meets Ready Player One.

the thing that's got me disappointed is the narrator didn't reproduce the characters from the first book. all the fantastic, distinct characters he created turned into generic junk. tough buff marine Moose turning into a vapid California valley boy pothead hippy is the worst of the bunch, but every single voice profile took a nose dive into the dirt. damn shame.

not what I expected when I thought of this sieres

alien invasion and robot building a.i from some ancient civilization as mankind's first contact in the stars, boring and over done but an honest title I guess if your into those types of books. it's just not what I expected but makes perfect scence from the story perspective.

first was okay but this was tourture

please don't write a ya moralizing novel and seed it with children cussing. this drag of a book doesn't fit in any category. all these characters were just bad.

narrorator did not double check character voices

nothing takes me out of a book more than the narrator changing character's voices in each book.

dnf'd.
