About this listen

Some people just knew how to go out in style. Tim had never been one of those guys.

Tim was always a planner. The plan was to get into college, graduate, and find a well-paying job.

That plan was coming together nicely until he saw a presentation to get paid to play The Etheric Coast. At his graduation ceremony.

After watching the company's employee recruitment video, Big Richie's words had a whole new meaning. He could spend his life going from a cubicle at work to a one-bedroom apartment and back again...or he could take a leap of faith by entering a virtual world of unlimited possibilities. And get paid.

Now he just has to figure out how to get the job of his dreams, help his parents financially, and catch the attention of the girl of his dreams.

It was time for him to catch his wave. Tim sure hoped it didn't kill him first.

Wonderful balance between gaming and fantasy.

Loved it! Felt like I was in the game right there with the characters. Can't wait to read the next in the series.

living your dream

This young man went to school to help his family. He was given a cvoice go to normal job or play in a video game world.. He chose video game camera, because it was fun and he got to follow the girl he has a crush on for the last 4 years. I look forward to seeing how the story continuous. I did not care for the format of the statistics but the story was good

Great story, diamond in the rough. Litrpg , Good Narrator!

Why did it take me so long to find this Gem. Great book authors did an amazing job with the story and making it fit into the LitRPG Genre without drowning in stats. MC not OP and has funny moments throughout the story. I literally laughed when I wasn’t expecting while drinking and had Soda come out my nose. Definitely worth the credit. I’m really picky too. I hope the series gets better with every book. I’m going down the rabbit hole. Fingers crossed.

What a fabulous premise

From a former gamer and DnD nerd this is wonderful. Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s imagination was a truly wonderful thing. The story brought all of it back

Full effort put forth to make the healer class shine as a necessity for the commoners. That’s the good stuff

Enjoyed classic style rpg references without stats being read every single chapter and a big fan of the narration done here. I could use with a little less of the fixation on the relationship but that’s just personal preference.

The main character

Honestly. I love the story and the direction that's going. I'm only halfway through the story, though. I just think the main character's a little too naive of the world. How could you ever think our world was black & white? I get it he's just a kid coming out of college, but for real. Does he really think people don't have to bow their heads, and he said so many conflicting things about his view of the world

Honestly Refreshing

So this is a long book and picked it up on whim I saw no reviews or anything and I didn't get this book free to review it i have something like 300 books and don't generally leave reviews so here's my unbiased thoughts

Overall this book is similar to Alpha Test the MC isn't a white knight and chose the healer class but not a Mary Sue in my opinion he has his own depth and personality along with a darker side all people have a darkness in them none of us are perfect its about being honest with yourself your desire and what your willing to where to draw that line for what you aspire to do and how far you will push the author made him relatable not an op monster but someone who put effort into his growth his back story is fleshed out enough to understand him and where he is in life the additional characters are decently fleshed out without overwhelming detail i personally loved that the MC had a life partner i do like and listen to harem books but this isn't one and honestly I can't get behind books without any sexuality no matter the flavor its human nature and was tastefully done the story has everything you could expect the hero the villain the friendship and the hardship but the hardship isn't the soul crushing awful most authors place their MC in so thumbs up for not being a sadist I'm all for hardship but hate books where the poor guy can't catch a break and ends up in the depth of despair every other chapter the villain has his own point of view and is well done the story takes unexpected turns and I couldn't directly plot out what was going to happen next so it kept things lively unlike most books where you can basically tell where its going off the bat so great work loved the book Sean did great hope to see more of your work and listen to it
