The future lies within our minds.

Paralyzed in a workplace accident, Lox's life is looking bleak. He can't even use the cutting-edge hardware that would allow him to play in the full-immersion-games that have become so popular. The book relies to heavily on lit rpg themes of describing the fantasy world in terms of videogame rpg terms. The main character has few flaws and doesn't really grow or learn as a person throughout the novel. Female characters are poorly thought out. Exploring of any interesting sci-fi themes is light at best and the real world is abandoned almost immediately and with little fanfair. How the real world is affected if it all is ignored save for monetary rewards.

If you use litrpgs like me as boring prose to help you sleep then this is a good choice.

great book

Love the flow and world building mechanics of this book. Easy to follow along and keeps you entertained with the banter between mc and side characters. Looking forward to next book.

Great Story

At the start the skill tree was fine 3 or 4 skills to pick from
In the middle and near the end almost 10 skills
To pick from
I felt bad for the reader a few times
He had to read them back to back three times in a row so I just zone out during those part and they are long mins
I’m going to try book 2 and if the long skills options are read back to back I’m just going to stop and return it

This book was super awesome and I love the new world this author creates and I’ll be immediately going to see if there’s a second one yet and buying if there is.

So I tried multiple things to fix how this story plays. I adjusted the speed multiple times to try and smooth it out. I don’t think the story is bad. I think the narrator is a robotic with sentence structure and it hurts the story very badly in my opinion honestly it makes me want to stop listening to it. It’s not 100% of the time either and it’s bothersome to say the least. To a degree its like it was translated from another language. With all the negatives in place I just can’t recommend it to anyone I know personally.

good book but narrator needs to fix his mic. you can hear white noise. every time he speaks.

Narrators terrible reading and authors wording and word choice made this a hard listen I had to check and make sure it wasn’t an AI narration, but it got me through the work day.

you know what you did. potential pairing with someone who doesn't want to understand the mc, but wants to block him from sleeping with a hot monster girl Is terrible.

aside from that you got a great story here. can you please make it up to us fans and the mc and not c*ckblock him, but let a friend of his get to smash again pls thanks

At first it went really well without tons of stats but at some point I found myself skipping a ridiculous amount of the story because it was just all stats pages on stats pages. Really took away from the story.
