About this listen

The King has returned! But so has the Queen…

Fresh from their trials in New London, Reece and his friends return victorious to the fantasy realm of Nasgar, finally armed with the location of Citadel.

Having unlocked the godlike powers of Kono-Zemsu and raising the level cap to 99, nothing seems able to stand in their way of finally reaching home and saving the people they love.

But things are not well upon their return.

The dreaded Goblin Queen has resurfaced, wielding dark powers beyond anything the realm has seen before. Plus, an old nemesis from Reece’s past is laying siege to his home village as well.

Trapped between two armies, Reece and his friends must reach the new level cap to become strong enough to overcome both foes. As darker forces conspire in the shadows, the fate of not just Citadel, but the entire realm of the Crystal Shards, may be resting in their hands.

Will Reece be strong enough to stop them? With the power of a Kono-Zemsu, he has a chance, but nothing comes easy in the Shards…not even with the power of a god.

Likable characters, evil bad guys and narrow wins (and escapes). Including a couple unexpected ones. Looking forward to the. Next book!

Another excellent book in the series

I like the over arching storyline and the fact that the main protagonists aren't just randomly all powerful for the sake of story progression. It feels like the plot points have reasons.

looking forward to the next one!

intriguing

I loved it , great story telling and great overall story line. Would have liked it to be a bit longer like the other books. Can’t wait to see what happens next .

I dislike how the narrator says "mobs" and "imperator" and certain other words. really pulls me out of the story in those moments. Otherwise a good story and performance

I loved this book like I loved all in the series, it gave me chills and never disappoints! The only thing negative I have to say is there wasn't enough. as usual it leaves me wanting more and to find out what in the heck is going on.

Fantastic as usual!!!!

This series is honestly S tier when it comes to the litRPG genre. There are some flaws with the story/characters, but the flaws themselves are very minor and more nitpick-ish than anything else. Let’s go over what I enjoyed from the story from an objective PoV.

Without any spoilers in this review, I want to say that having re-read the series right before this book came out was definitely the best way to sink back into the cozy seat of the reader for this story. Watching the development of characters from the main cast is always exciting, but what got me hyped more than anything was watching some of the side characters shine in this book. The scenes being narrated made it feel like I could close my eyes and see the events play out right before me like some sort of anime or show was simply amazing. I can’t wait for the next entry in the series, and I would love to see a comic/webtoon of this series to be drawn out too (I know that may be a bit selfish but I’d love it personally).

A fantastic ride through and through.

Another entry in one of my all-time favorite series of the genre. Looking forward to see what else is on the way.
