He comes to learn that he is the last known scion of the Van Helsing bloodline. However, his new job isn't to hunt monsters, but to save them. As he adjusts to this quest, Nathan struggles to come to grips with his surroundings and the revelation that the universe is a lot bigger and crazier than he imagined.

Also, this bratty catgirl won't let him get any work done.

I was saddened after listening to this. I got the first book and listened, and it was fun so when I saw that the omnibus was out, I jumped on it. I am a fan of every other Virgil series I have ever read, especially masterclass. By book three I feel like the sex is the only thing the book was written for, like the story came second. Everyone is more interested in getting in the MC's pants then stopping the end of reality. I actually regret spending a credit on this as I doubt it will be a relisten. Keep up the good work Virgil, not sure if this is an early work and I am late to the party or what. The rest of what I have read or listened to from you is gold.

just so we are clear I really like Virgil knightly books, he is one of my go to authors. that said... this book was a grind, I wasn't a fan of the MC or the harem girls, they seemed to lose track of their mission A LOT. some of the girls were ok but most were just plain unlikable for me.
don't let this book deter you from his other works. it's an ok read but not my favorite.

This was a good book it had me the whole time, I especially like the way the reader could switch between voices

This series was really a pretty good one and it was a fun and good natured romp through monsters and hunters and all that gothic sort of stuff but just with a twist
