About this listen

December, 2042

The Imperial Legion marches, and war looms on the horizon....

Jack Mitchel and his misfit crew of rebels never wanted a fight with the Empire, but the time for diplomacy has passed.

Ruthless tech genius Robert Osmark is coming, and trailing behind him is a vast army determined to wipe the Crimson Alliance from the face of Eldgard. Impossibly, Jack has united the warring Murk Elf clans under his banner, but even with their aid, the Alliance is still badly outnumbered, and Osmark has some nasty tricks up his sleeves.

And while the long-awaited battle unfolds, an ancient evil stirs in the heart of Viridian Gate Online - one that will change the game forever.

It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Phenomenal as usual!

Everytime you think you've got it all figured out he hits you with another one. This book was just great. The character development was amazing and watching the interplay at such a high level is amazing.
The voice actor is really spot on and brings a ton of emotion to the performance. Well done!

Fantastic!

I went through half the book in one day. It was too hard to put down and the ending was not what I expected at all.

Author needs a personal cheat sheet to keep up with details he adds.

The story itself was enjoyable, and while I enjoy all the new skill and loot additions throughout the series, these additions are meaningless if they are then neglected for the rest of the series. Hunter seems to forget many of the features he himself added. Like, for instance, MC still using pm’s in frantic situations instead of the commander’s communication skill faction unlock, and damage skill damage info ignoring effects like his innate boost to those skills etc. More grievously, the entire previous book was centered around a certain item set and the moral dilemmas involved with its collection, only to have the max set bonus completely ignored in this book. These are just a couple of a growing number of misses. While these by no means ruin the books, it’s highly disappointing considering this a series in a genre that revolves around the RPG elements like the effects of skills, abilities, and loot/gear.

Another Hit!

The author used shadow stride, lined up his shot, took a couple practice swings and knocked this book out of the park! Great F***ing Book!

The coffee joke is getting old.

It feels like every 10 chapters there is a two to three paragraph gushing about how much the MC loves coffee. the joke stopped being funny in book 2. It takes me out of the world every time this happens.

Secondly the MC makes blatantly bad decisions but everyone talks about how smart he is. Not the best book in the series so far.

Good story love rpg concept

Nothing other than main character falling for traps you know are traps but is that really a bad thing or just upsetting because you want him to win everytime
