Two days ago, the Wilson family checked into the imposing, glass-fronted Lodge, surrounded by snow and perched perilously on the edge of a cliff looking out to a gray sea. Not everyone was looking forward to the family get-together. But mother-in-law Angela insisted the winter trip would help heal their rifts....

Story
I open the creaking oak front door of my beautiful country house to see a stranger on my doorstep. The woman is stunning with glossy red hair and flawless make up. "Can I help you?" I ask. That was my first mistake. Alexis tells me she is a distant relative and shows me a DNA match on her phone. She has no family and would love to get to know us. My husband Hugh invites her in to join our dinner party. As we drink wine, she opens up about her sad childhood. Her amber eyes are mesmerizing, and I can see my husband is being drawn in by her story. Then she asks for our help.

Story
Alice has everything, I mean everything. A stunning suburban house, Instagram-perfect in its soft grey walls and textured neutrals. And then there's her handsome husband, with his flat stomach and that sexy sleeve of tattoos he keeps hidden for his well-paid job in the city. The PTA mamas can't stop staring at him, and who can blame them? And let's not forget her three adorable, well-behaved children. Meanwhile, here in Boston, I'm struggling to start a family with my husband Ollie. Our marriage is suffering, and I feel so isolated all the time.

Story
My husband is a doctor. He’s smart and charming, and everybody trusts him. Except me. On the surface, it looks like I have it all–the perfect marriage, the perfect husband, the perfect life. But it’s far from the truth. Doctor Drew Devlin is not the respectable figure he makes out to be. The reason we moved to this beautiful, old property with a gorgeous view of the sea was because we needed to put our past behind us. It should’ve been a fresh start for us both.

Of course, I’m not going to murder her in the night. I need my laptop back first. That’s the whole point of making friends with Emily Harper, author of the hugely successful novel Diary of an Octopus. So I could get into her apartment and take back what’s mine. Emily doesn’t know who I really am. She thinks I’m her biggest fan, her new best friend who happens to need a place to stay for a few days. She doesn’t realize the laptop she found—and took—from a busy airport almost two years ago was mine. I don’t care about the laptop, just what's on it: my diary.

He can’t stop talking about the tree house they’re building him, and the cookies they bake together. But as time passes, something starts to feel wrong. Publisher's summary
Tell a lie once, and all your truths begin to crumble one by one…
Fran made the biggest mistake of her life when she had an affair with Ben. Both their families live in the small, tight-knit town of Oakheart, and their daughters are the best of friends. The relationship is over, but her guilt haunts her every waking moment. She tries to push it down, but it's always there, simmering just beneath the surface.
Fran has managed to keep the truth hidden from her husband… so far. But the cracks in their marriage are starting to show. Meanwhile, Ben and his wife Tessa seem stronger than ever, though Fran knows that things aren't always as they appear. When Tessa begins trying to get closer to Fran, she’s scared—scared of what Tessa might do, of what she might lose.
High Heaven, a cliff overlooking the disused chalk pit on the outskirts of town, is a place of secrets. A woman tragically died there years ago, a woman who—Fran is shocked to discover—had a connection to Ben. The more she digs, the more she realises that the people around her aren’t who she thought they were at all.
The truth is out there, somewhere… but is Fran brave enough to face it?
A gripping story! Fans of The Wife Between Us and The Couple Next Door will love this twisty tale of friendship, betrayal and deceit.

It’s not always smooth sailing, but she loves to see Porthmellow’s harbour packed with happy visitors and being on the committee has provided a much-needed distraction from the drama in her family life (and the distinct lack of it in her love life). Story
Kidnappers grabbed Jenna in broad daylight, right in front of her children and their horrified classmates. Her family was issued an insane ransom demand: $25 million in cash and jewels, payable by the end of the school day, otherwise they’ll never see her again. As Jenna’s mother scrambles to gather the money, detectives Mo Butler and George Ortega follow the trail of the kidnappers, which will lead them through a sordid landscape of jealous lovers, broken dreamers, and twisted schemers. But every second counts, and there’s one thing Jenna Wade doesn’t have: very much time.

Story
It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Story
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Entertaining & Excellent Narration
One of my favorite narrators. She made the book easy to listen too. A mild story, no real twist or turns. Easy listen while doing chores. Not the most gripping story line but well written and entertaining.

Just the right time… Kennard is brilliant!
As Tamsin Kennard is one of my favorite narrators and due to my preference of British psychological thrillers, I started “The Wife’s Revenge” and this time I was audicted from the very first. My first listen by Deidre Palmer, I’ll be searching for more featuring these two accomplished women. They do work together effortlessly and I was on the edge of my seat. Fran and Tessa. Wow! What a duo. What to do! There are few paths for Fran to take (I’m not sure which I would choose), as well as guessing what mischievous games Tessa is planning. An exquisite and suspenseful listen for sure; grab this one now. Worthy of a treasured credit and highly recommended. Jaw-dropping ending I never saw coming. Book #2 perhaps. I hope so.
