Publisher's summary

Do you suffer from chronic pain? If so, you're not alone. In fact, more than 100 million Americans deal with this life-changing issue every day. And if you're like most of them, you've tried all the normal "solutions": doctors, injections, medications, and surgeries. While these all have a place in healing, they have fallen short in dealing with the pain epidemic. So what can you do?

In The Tapping Solution for Pain Relief, Nick Ortner presents a startling alternative. He lays out a step-by-step plan that teaches you how to use tapping, or EFT (emotional freedom techniques), to reduce or eliminate chronic pain. Looking at the scientific research surrounding pain, stress, and tapping, he opens your eyes to just how powerful tapping can be, and then outlines tips and techniques to address pain in both the short and long term.

Nick guides you on a journey that begins on the surface - tapping to address the pain itself - and moves to the deeper issues that often affect pain. With easy-to-follow tapping scripts and exercises, Nick helps you heal the emotional pain and underlying beliefs that often keep people stuck. He also addresses topics that you may not think of as associated with chronic pain, such as:

  • Creating personal boundaries
  • Dealing with toxic relationships
  • Clearing resistance to change
  • Understanding the power of a diagnosis
  • Working through anger

There are many ways the brain and body can create, increase, and prolong pain. After listening to this audiobook, you'll not only understand what's causing your pain, but also how to achieve complete and lasting relief. But let's face it; this is about more than just pain relief. It's about empowering yourself to take back your body in order to live the life you want.

A very practical approach: Testimony of a pain psychologist

The organization of the book is excellent. Easy to read. Not caught up in excessive theories and details but of great practicality in a step-by-step process in helping people with chronic pain.

This is an excellent read. This is an excellent application of resolving chronic pain.

I have been using EFT for several years and this is my approach to helping patients become pain-free. I found EFT to be far superior to removing self-limiting beliefs than the traditional use of cognitive behavioral therapy alone. However, in combination of CBT and EFT I find my patients getting better at a much quicker rate.

It's worth the listen!

It was good and very practical. I've been using a tapping technique, not this one but another one, that works great and has helped me tremendously. I'm working through my chronic pain with it now. As weird as it may sound and look, it does work.

Pain Relief is Attainable!

I had to repeat quite a few sections, some SEVERAL TIMES. Then 'Click' ACCEPTANCE! As the listening progressed, I Progressed! I'm not "Where i want to be" just yet... But I'm not at the pain levels or awareness I once was at! Praise God Above!

Definitely get the additional downloads

Would you listen to The Tapping Solution for Pain Relief again? Why?

Although the author did not suffer chronic pain, I'm glad he released this book for chronic pain. There's additional downloads on his website where you can practice more tapping with his guidance (the URL is in the book). When I did them, tears came out of my eyes because I felt so understood. All of the pain and suffering I was going through were being validated and acknowledged.

What about Nick Ortner’s performance did you like?

The narration of his book is a little fast and not as warm and caring as his downloads. His videos on YouTube are also fantastic.

Any additional comments?

I don't do the actual tapping every day, but the concept of loving and accepting yourself is something I need to hear over and over again.
