About this listen

Pretending to be married to my brother's best friend and my biggest enemy is the last thing I imagined I'd be doing.

But there was a thin line between lust and hate, and when I fell into bed with the NHL's rookie playboy, I found out just how easy that line got blurred.

We were enemies with benefits, but then two pink lines changed it all.

Now he was bringing me back home to his family's farm and faking it became real . . . in more ways than one.

He was meant to be the enemy but falling for him meant letting him win.

Started off good but ended on a cliff hanger (Spoilers)

I thought the book had a solid premise, a good start, and a few fun parts but the main characters never confessed their love to each other let alone even got together by the end of the book. The whole story was they slept together got pregnant, the MFC said she didn’t want a relationship and was too scared to let anyone in, and the whole rest of the book was the MMC doing everything humanly possible to convince her to give him a chance and to show her the real him. Even after 9 months of pregnancy she was still too scared to say anything even though she loved him and he didn’t feel like she was ready to hear the he loved her. They still didn’t even live together which I thought was crazy. It ends right after she has the babies and they see on tv that he’s being transferred to a different team. I just feel like the ending was abrupt and wouldn’t he have known before the media and told her he got transferred before the news got ahold of that information?! It just doesn’t seem plausible at all unless they didn’t tell us he knew already.
I also had a hard time listening to the female voice because I felt like it didn’t match the character at all. She sounded way too mature for the character and the narrator didn’t really change her voice when reading the males lines so sometimes I got confused about who was talking since I couldn’t differentiate between the two.
I really wanted to like this book since I loved the first two books of this series but this one was a let down. This is one I think you can skip and save your credit or money and just go on to the next book since they probably just pick up where this one left off. Again, you really won’t miss much if you skip this one because nothing really substantial happens in my option and literally everything I said above is all the info you will get from this whole book!
