If you learn to let go, your life will take off.
When you let go, you live intuitively. Everything flows, because you are no longer attached to things being a certain way, to being a certain person or always being right. What a relief. The irony is that when you feel stuck in any area of your life - career, relationships, purpose, health or money - letting go can seem very hard. You cling on for dear life just at the moment you need to take the leap.
In The Power of Letting Go, John Purkiss explains why we should let go and how we can do it, using proven techniques to make things happen.
The stages of letting go:
- Be present and enjoy each moment.
- Let go of the thoughts that keep you stuck.
- Let go of the pain that runs your life.
- Surrender and tune in to something far more intelligent than your brain.

I mean I really liked this book and I would recommend it for anyone who is interested in a deep and honest self-analysis. Or anyone who feels like they're carrying excess baggage from within. This book will help that person shine a light on those baggages and examine the nature of them. Comparing this book with the first one I read, I have to say I like this one a little more regarding the flow of the book.
The book is broken down into 5 digestible chapters with clear and eloquent verbage. At times, you may find yourself pausing and rewinding the audio back to write down notes and/or quotes that catch your ear. At other times, you may pause the audio and give yourself a moment to process what you just heard or try to relate to the words read. I know I did.
One of my biggest takeaways is that I am not what I think and I am not what I feel. I am not my name nor am I my physical attributes. Yet I am capable of being anything, ranging from positive to negative notions of character. Ultimately, I just am. Or to put it more concretely, I am an observer.
My journey continues and I look forward to learning more about mySelf and others. Bon voyage. Hopefully, I'll see you during our travels.
