About this listen

Audible presents The Magadh Mystery, an Audible Original. Vidya is a young archaeologist who has spent her entire childhood listening to the stories of the Magadh Mystery, but neither Vidya nor her brother believed these stories. When Vidya’s father-like colleague found some inscriptions from the Magadh Dynasty during an excavation and was killed soon after, she had no choice but to set out on this journey to unravel the Magadh Mystery.

Sound effects were distracting

Although the narration was excellent, I found the extra bells and whistles very distracting. For others it may be a plus.

The story was okay overall.

condescending towards women

Interesting story but I guessed the culprit long before the end, However the heroine, who is smart and capable, is constantly being wrapped in cotton. She doesn't need the men to solve the mystery, she doesn't need the men at all. Is that how Asian women are treated?

A hidden gem!

A surprisingly interesting story well performed. The names of the characters were a bit difficult to decipher, but in the end the storyline made perfect sense. I was hooked.

Lost Treasures of Ancient Families

Loved the voices and emotions put into this story, not to mention the great storyline. it was kind of like an Indiana Jones/ Tombcroft mystery. Great puzzles, characters, and archeological finds😎

Enjoyable listen

Good story, sweet characters. Even the bad guys aren't soo bad. I enjoyed the voice actors in that they portrayed the story well without having too much extraneous noise.

Enjoyable but difficult to follow with all the geographical details

The story would’ve been easier to follow on headphones. Multiple times the female voice/character was an audible without increasing volume. Difficult to differentiate cities and characters without a map. The mystery behind the villain was easy to detect prior to the end of book. With that being said, glad I finished book as the ending was worth the wait.

Story good but performance not

Enjoyed the story but did not care for the over acting on the part of main characters. Too many sighs, "okays" and thinking out loud to the point it was irritating.
