Publisher's summary

Powerful vampire Quintus Tullius returns to New Orleans after a demon attacks. Elusive and lethal, he conceals his true powers from all others, wielding his strength over the centuries as he sees fit. When he's healed by an attractive stranger, he quickly realizes her altruistic actions are driven by more than kindness, and she is not who she appears to be. Unsure if he can trust the dangerous beauty, he swears to protect her, captivated by the one creature he'd never expected to flame his desire.

Gabriella Savoie has been on the run since she was 13 years old. Determined to survive, she practices a unique blend of magick to hide from the coven who seeks her death. Desperate, she leads a treacherous existence in underground clubs, selling her mystical blood to vampires to survive. Drawn to the one person who can save her, she spirals into an erotic journey, exploring her hidden fantasies within the arms of the seductive vampire.

From Louisiana to New York, their sensual and perilous adventure leads them to discover ancient secrets, searching for the artifact that will set her beast free. As Gabriella accepts her fate, will she sacrifice her magick to be with the vampire who is her true mate? Will Quintus trust her and reveal his powers, acknowledging the unexpected bond to a woman who isn't human? And will he be able to save her, thwarting the impending evil that descends on Big Easy?

"Deeply seductive, sultry, passionate, and darkly sexy is this thrill ride of a read. Kym Grosso has written a great vampire romance and thrill ride. She takes the reader on quite the journey that leaves the reader feeling as if they've walked down the streets of New Orleans." (www.nightowlreviews.com)

good book

Gabrielle is stupid & immature baby tho & continues to do stupid things that endangers them all. I almost didn't want to continue. so sick of her. too old to act like such a child.

Hmm 🤔

Ok I love this series but a few things that bother me .
First let me explain I have had this whole series for sometime now and so I'll go back and start from book 1 and listen to them all in order .
One thing that bothers me is the change in the male narrator . If it had started out with this one then I'd have no problem . This man has a real nice deep voice , but I got use to the accent and this man doesn't have one .
Second thing is Gabby sometimes got on my nerves and a big part is the way the women read her part .

Ok now I maybe skirting on a Spoiler Alert so stop going now if you don't want to read this .
I'm all for big bad alphas but when they do something wrong ( like his dead ex coming back after a thousand years ) and Gabby runs how can he turn it around to where Gabby needs to be spanked and submit ? It really makes me angry that she's supposed to understand yet he doesn't understand her feelings it's her fault for not standing up to him..
Example... Gabby ran when he was giving all his attention to the supposed Ex who has been dead for over a thousand years . But he expects her to stay put while he deals with it . How about asking him how he would feel and what he would do if it had been reversed?
Time and time again we see how jealous and possessive the mates are and he wouldn't of put up with it for a second. So why didn't she ask him how it would make him feel instead of being a whimp about it ?
And Victor gets on my nerves by not taking anything serious.. His jokes aren't even funny most of the time just annoying .
It's this stuff that really takes away from a story for me . And I've read a couple reviews about how a lot of the sexual encounters are the same in each book and it's true but it's easy to fast forward through that part
But I do love this series anyway and glad I have the whole series.

The Narrators

I have really enjoyed all the series as i anticipate every new book. The story is always great however the change in the narrator was very disturbing. I think i died trying to completely listen to this book. The new narrators Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott put no emotion nor feelings to the book. I found they both were flat and seems as if they were just simply reading without putting any effort or life to the story. I think the book should be re recorded with Ryan West. Other than the take of the horrible narrators again the book was great.

Quintus - Book #9 of Immortal of New Orleans

Kym Grosso's books just get better and better. This is the first audible with male/female voices that Ms. Grosso has put out. It really brings a new and exciting aspect to listening to her books.

Quintus has been poisoned, only the blood of "special" one can save him. She is not what she seems, knowing that she needs a powerful ancient vampire to help her with the spell she needs to perform.

Can they learn to trust one another with their most precious secrets and their heart?

Fantastic❤️❤️

What a fantastic book! This is the best dual narration I have ever heard. Kym Grosso wrote a book full of happiness, humor, suspense and hotness that Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott brought to life.

She do it Again !!!!!!!

This is the ninth book in the Immortals of New Orleans series and I have been obsessed with this series since book one and couldn’t wait for this to come out! I highly recommend starting with book one and going from there since that’s the best way to enjoy this amazingly addictive series! This author has an incredible way of creating a world filled with magic and sexy vampires that sucks you in and makes you never want to leave and my only complaint is that these stories don’t last forever! I quickly fell in love with Quintus and loved reading more about him! Quintus is an ancient vampire that is brought to the brink of death and saved by a woman who is on the run. Gabriella (Gabby) and Quintus then travel around the world and they go on an epic journey together that left me on the edge of my seat the entire time! This series is primarily based in New Orleans and I love this city with all of my heart, but it was nice to travel around with the characters a bit and experience their adventures with them! I highly recommend reading this entire series and I can’t wait for the next book!

Si Bella.... 2 words have never been sexier!

Kym Grosso wrote another entrancing story full of mystery, suspense and sexy supernaturals. Destiny fulfilled - Quintus and his little hybrid take on one of the most powerful evil forces we’ve met yet in the Immortals series. Your one true mate is out there even if it takes a 1,000 yrs to find them.

Great narration for great book

I was disappointed with the book ‘Jake’ but Loved everything about Quintus story. Not only was the storyline intriguing but Kym Grosso took the extra steps of having male & female narrators then had the female read the female parts & male read male parts AS IT SHOULD BE. It made the story come to life.
