About this listen

Procrastination is like a credit card.... It's a lot of fun until you get the bill.

“You may delay, but time will not, and lost time is never found again.“ (Benjamin Franklin)

You wake up in the morning, and you have a clear list of things that need to be done.

Yet in the evening, you start to freak out because all the important tasks still haven’t been crossed off the to-do list.

Now it feels too late and you use the same strategy as always. Wait, eat, forget, and see what happens.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard you try to avoid it, the evil tasks will keep following you around like little ghosts.

You end up in the hamster wheel of dissatisfaction, anxiety, stress, and disappointment in yourself.

How did this happen again?

When was the moment I lost track and started making 10 cups of coffee, scrolling over Instagram, and calling my mum instead of getting my work done?

Sound familiar? If so, you're not alone!

Procrastination is the most common trap in our modern society that leads into a spiral of unhappiness.

Research has shown:

One out of five people procrastinate so badly that it may be jeopardizing their jobs, their credit, their relationships, and even their health.

Therefore, the “I'll do it later” trap is not just a stressful habit, but in the future, it can lead to major chronic diseases such as burn out, anxiety disorder, and even depression.

With a couple of simple tricks, you can take the reins and conquer all tasks with ease in a quarter of the time you used to.

In Overcome Procrastination, you'll discover:

  • Why you wait until the 11th hour and how to make it the 10th, ninth, or even third
  • How to eat an elephant...even if you are a vegetarian
  • Why one coffee a day keeps the doctor away, but the fifth is your lay-off
  • How to find other ways to get your mind in the right frame to start a task
  • Five types of procrastinators; which one are you?
  • What passion and purpose have to do with procrastination
  • How to stop avoidance and delaying right now and create more time for the things you like to do
  • How to turn a painful task into a fun activity once you know who wins the game
  • Mastering the ancient concept of time like Plato, Aristotle, and Kant
  • Seven reasons why you will never procrastinate again
  • And much, much more.

Even if you are able to manage your to-do list right now, the procrastination monster is waiting to catch you in a moment of weakness.

Everyone should be prepared to overcome procrastination and make more of their valuable time.

Procrastination goes beyond good time management. You have to understand the "why" behind your inability to start so you never get trapped again.

Good book.

The organization is clear, and the short chapters make it easy to fit into your morning routine, to recap a tactic while you are waiting for the bus, or to read it all the way through in one sitting because you think "just one more" again and again.
