About this listen

The Greatest Present He Would Ever Receive is the Gift of Her Love…

What if Mr. Darcy purchased a gift for Elizabeth Bennet to acknowledge the festive days even though he knows he will never present it to her? What if the gift is posted to the lady by his servants and without his knowledge? What if the enclosed card was meant for another and is more suggestive than a gentleman should share with an unmarried lady?

Join Darcy and Elizabeth, for a holiday romp, loaded with delightful twists and turns no one expects, but one in which our favorite couple take a very different path in thwarting George Wickham and Lydia Bennet’s elopement. Can a simple book of poetry be Darcy’s means to win Elizabeth’s love?

When we care more for another than ourselves, the seeds of love have an opportunity to blossom.

Good twist on the original

The characters Elizabeth and Darcy, Jane, Lydia, Mr. Bennett and Mrs. Bennett were all true to the original P&P characters. The premise of the story, a mixup in gifts, was clever. Despite these positives, the overall story didn’t engage my interest as I would have liked. It was cute rather than memorable.

Nice story. Second half better than the first.

I liked the story. It moved at a nice pace. I wish Ms. Jeffers would re-consider using honorifics such as Mr and Mrs when familiar people talk with one another. It gets confusing especially when all the characters sound the same in virtual voice. I liked the strong Bingley, and I especially like it whenever Elizabeth censures Wickham.

Great read

I enjoyed listening to this story very much. Mr Darcy bought a present for Elizabeth even after he was rejected. Then he had an encounter with some coal. And laudanum. Great story. Great Jaff

Watch pit for the coal cart

Darcy gets hurt and is unable to use his wrist so he has his valet address Christmas gift name cards for presents. Unfortunate some of the cards are mixed up with the wrong gift and some people get card messages they shouldn't have received. This is not a good thing to happen.

Loved it!

Very sweet, very low angst, and hope that one day it gets a real narrator.
