About this listen

From Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Amazon Bestselling Author Natasha Madison comes new a small town, single dad, surprise baby romance.

When a hockey princess takes a trip to the south and two pink lines change everything!

From the spin-off of Southern Sunrise & This Is Wild.

Zara

The day I picked out my wedding dress is the day I found out my fiancé was cheating on me.

After that, I needed an escape.

A distraction to take my mind off what a mess my life was.

It was supposed to be a one-night thing.

Then it turned into more.

We knew going in that it was for two weeks.

Then, two pink lines changed everything.

Gabriel

I thought I had the perfect life.

I had an amazing son, and I was running the family bar.

But all that changed the day she walked in.

She was gorgeous and funny all wrapped into one.

It was temporary, we both knew that.

She's a city girl. I'm a cowboy.

But I fell in love with her and let her go all at the same time.

Now she's back and pregnant with my baby.

It's time to show her she was meant for me.

Great story line! Love their love story. Steamy and sweet.

Didn’t care for the female narrator at all! She didn’t have a natural and flowing sound

Zara & Gabriel

Meant for Gabriel is the fourth book in the Meant for Series and they are only getting better! I have read this entire series to date and WOW Natasha Madison can write a romance book.
This book has some of my FAV tropes accidental pregnancy/secret baby, cowboy small town romance and single dad romance. The narrators made this amazing story come to life and I absolutely LOVED listening to Aiden Snow bring Gabriel to life !

Zara is the city girl who runs away to a small town after finding her fiance of three years in bed with his coworker. Even though she was only there for a few weeks she fell in love with the land making her question whether she truly belongs in the city anymore. On her first night there she meets Gabriel at a bar and has what was only supposed to be a one night stand. But fate played its cards and she ends up seeing him again and their one night stand turns into a vacation fling. Unexpecting to them both, they fall in love with each other but they know their time together is limited so neither said how they felt. 6 weeks later, when they are both miserable and missing each other but neither make the first move; fate rears its head again and giving Zara a huge curveball not only did her "Cowboy" come back to her but it happened right as she sees those bright pink lines.

Gabriel is the hunky small town cowboy who loves his family and is deemed the "horse whisperer". In the few weeks Zara was in his small town Gabriel showed her how she should be treated. That she was a queen and shouldnt be treated any different. And when they find out she is carrying his baby this man goes straight into full on dad mode. No matter the distance between them this man makes sure his presence is known in Zara's life and pregnancy.

Cowboy

What a ride. I saw so much of Casey and Jacob in Gabriel that it made me smile. The relationships between the families just keeps getter stronger. Gabriel and Zara were on fire. That mouth of his. You’re not a quitter. Sweetheart.

Another pairing of hockey & Southern cowboy from Madison’s 2 popular series’

Zara Cooper Petrov (Victor & Zoey’s daughter from Stone Hockey Series) meets Gabriel Mcintire (Ethan & Emma's son from the Southern cowboy/southern wedding series). They live in 2 different worlds that have already been linked as extended family by Zara’s brother and Gabriel’s cousin. But their chemistry is off the charts like their grandparents. Some drama, hot sex, and some very slow parts but a couple of great Epilogues. Aidan Snow’s narration was great as was much of Mia Madison’s but she did occasionally narrate in flat monotones. For fans of both series it was well worth the credit and cost of the kindle. Lots of family members are included in scenes which is great. Having both makes it easier to check back on who is related to who but I really wish there was a paperback bundle with the first 3 of the older generation stories for both series as well as pull out family trees. The Hollywood series family is small and easy- a couple whose 2 kids marry into this brood but when each branch has about 50 people and there are 2 Parkers, 2 Coopers 2 Zoes, 2 Zaras and guy whose first name is Stone after his mom's maiden name , grandpa & uncle it gets confusing unless there is a good visual.

Great story

I liked listening to Aiden Snow and Mia Madison narrate Gabriel and Zara. I really liked the bantering between the two families and seeing the previous generations that were in earlier books. I thought the relationship between Gabriel and Zara was wonderful. Of course, there was too much miscommunication and second guessing what the other one wanted but it works out for the story.

Love a small town romance

I genuinely enjoyed this book, particularly how the male lead falls quickly and deeply in love.

What surprised me, however, was the extensive use of profanity. Despite being no stranger to swearing myself, I found the frequency of expletives in the beginning quite shocking, to the point where I started counting them. The cursing does diminish as the story progresses. Aside from that, I really liked the book.

The story features:

🐎 Small Town Romance
🐎 Single Father
🐎 Surprise Pregnancy
🐎 HEA

Spoilers Ahead........

Our female lead, Zara, after shopping for a wedding dress, discovers her fiancé in a compromising position on her bed. She rightfully ends the engagement and leaves. Seeking a fresh start, she recovers in a small town. One evening, she meets a bartender at a local bar and they connect instantly. Enter Gabriel, a cowboy rancher, bar owner, and devoted single father to an adorable little boy. He falls for Zara quickly and deeply. His nickname for Zara is 'sweetheart', and I must thank Aiden Snow for his narration of this book. Mia Madison, mostly new to me, also captured my attention with her delightful voice. Gabriel is determined to win Zara's heart and will go to great lengths to spend time with her once he finds her. This is definitely not a slow burn, so enjoy it.

I appreciate the old-timers who offer sage advice about expressing feelings straightforwardly without overthinking.

There are so many aspects of this book that I like. Admittedly, I should have begun with the first book to understand the backstory and characters better. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and would recommend reading or listening to this book.
