Denver Wilson is a fairly easygoing guy. But there’s one woman in town who drives him mad, and her name is Maddie. For years, the two of them have battled for the top leaderboard spot on the arcade game at the local pizza place. Now that he knows the person behind her player name, he’s infuriatingly intrigued.
Maddie Howard has been out of work since the boutique that employed her closed. Through a set of circumstances, she ends up helping out at Denver’s auto repair shop. Since he’s the one person in town who gets under her skin, she tells herself it’s just something she’s doing to pay the bills.
But there’s something boiling beneath the surface between the two of them, and it’s something they can’t ignore forever. Their competitiveness shows how much they have in common, and that just might make them perfect for each other.
