About this listen

Young women, fit, in shape – and dead.

Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) agent Danny Carlisle is not happy. She has been pulled from a developing smuggling investigation to assist the Duluth police in their search for two missing young women. None of the excitement involved in trying to catch a band of smugglers. At least that was what Danny thought until the women turned up dead.

As Danny and the Duluth police investigate, they soon find themselves following multiple leads with a suspect list that seems to grow by the day. When another woman is murdered, the police zero in on a particular suspect, but Danny isn’t convinced he is the one. She has her eye on an exclusive fitness club for young single professionals.

A club where membership means you may be running for your life.

Decent plot

Virtual voice half of the time had wrong inflection or pronunciation. This was very distracting.

I love the characters!

I loved the characters! The stories are entertaining. Overall really enjoyed the reading experience. I do get a little distracted by several names for the main characters and the many different characters.

How the audio voice couldn’t get end of sentence punctuation.

The audio voice is awful. Nothing close to an actual human voice with inflections. Bring back real people!!

Virtual Voice not good

The virtual voice was not realistic at all and really took away from a good story

Good mystery.

The story moved a long at a good pace and the solution to the mystery was revealed in steps when the initial suspect was found to be innocent!

Never know what to expect

I really love the characters in the story. I am from Minnesota so it's really fun to hear the locations in Duluth. Also, they are very sarcastic and funny like I associate Midwest. The characters are interesting and I love how they interact and the story is suspenseful.

Exercise in lost time

A1 isn’t sophisticated enough to to properly read for listening audiences. This books plot was lukewarm but the artificial language was horrid. Do not waste your money.
