When two more people are murdered, Misty realizes that she'll be next if she doesn't keep one step ahead of the killer. Can she solve the mystery before it's too late?

Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Well, it's a freebie read by an AI.
I guess you get what you pay for. The AI voice is not lilting and does not move into the background like human voices do. A different part of my brain has to interpret it, and it's distracting. I'm not really a fan.
The story was ok, your typical cozy mystery. I like those for easy listening while I work, but the buzzy tone of the robot reader was distracting and kept me from focusing on my work.

Story was interesting. AI didn't go as well.
Overall the book was good enough to have to hear the next part. Wasn't to fond of long pauses at beginning of each chapter. The AI definitely needs a major tune up. Wasn't completely awful, but makes a big difference.

Fantastic story full of twists and turns.
Love all the misdirection surrounding the murderer, it really kept me guessing. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
I do not care for the computer voice there is no differentiation between character voices but worse the emotion conveyed by the writer’s words gets completely lost.
I highly recommend you read this book (not listen to it.)

Compelling Story
While I loved the story itself the virtual voice fails to invite you into the story and portray the emotions of the characters. The tones and inflections fall flat as if in monotone making listening a bit of a grind.

Interesting story, but ...
Interesting story, but the AI narration takes a lot away from it. Also, more editing would have helped the story, as the protagonist seemed to repeat herself/her feelings multiple times throughout.

Stick to human readers
I liked the story, but the computer generated reader wasn’t good at all. Human inflection and intonation is what makes listening enjoyable.
