The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Unfortunately, the full extent of what narcissistic abuse entails is not taught in any psychology class or diagnostic manual.

An invaluable source of support!
Listening to "Divorcing a Narcissist" was an eye-opening experience for me. This audiobook did more than just provide information; it helped me define the type of narcissist I was dealing with and recognize similar traits in others. I had so many "aha" moments, walking around my house with my earbuds in, nodding my head in agreement, and often saying out loud, "That's exactly how I felt," or "That's exactly how he acted.
The narrator was simply wonderful. She spoke with such empathy, as if she were my best friend, making me feel understood and supported throughout the entire journey. Her compassionate tone added an extra layer of comfort and connection to the already powerful content.
The author's insights and real-life examples made me feel understood and validated. If you're going through or have been through a relationship with a narcissist, this audiobook is an invaluable resource that will help you navigate the complexities of emotional abuse and come out stronger on the other side.

Useful
This book is straightforward and easy to understand, making it a great resource for anyone going through a divorce. It defines and clarifies narcissistic behaviors and explains things like gaslighting and emotional manipulation. The author tells stories to clearly represent examples of real-life situations. This makes the book easy to identify with and helped me see myself in the situations. I listened to this audiobook years after my own divorce and found it helpful in quelling some guilt that I was still hanging onto.

Wish I Had This During My Divorce Trial
This audiobook hit home for me. After leaving my marriage, I realized during the legal trial that I had been dealing with a narcissist. I can’t help but think how much easier things might have been if I had this book back then. It gives amazing advice on spotting toxic behaviors and, even more importantly, finding the right support, especially solid legal counsel to guide you through the mess. My meditation and mindfulness practice kept me grounded during the toughest parts, and this book would’ve been the perfect companion. It’s practical, insightful, and something I’d recommend to anyone going through a similar situation. I really enjoyed the narrator's voice as well. It was like sitting down and listening to a good friend.

The author shares smart tips on understanding emotional abuse, healing from the hurt, and setting healthy boundaries after being married to a narcissist. If you have been in a relationship like this, this audiobook is a helpful tool that will guide you through the challenges of emotional abuse and help you become stronger. The book is written in a step-by-step format, which enables you to decide precisely where you are and the best way to move beyond this unfortunate situation. I especially liked the co-parenting strategies section because children often experience the most pain and confusion in these situations.
