poorly written

this book is a big step down from previous books, I don't mean the story exactly, though there is that too. no I mean that there is constant mistakes in this book, its almost like it was a first or second draft.

mistakes, plotlines that went nowhere and were forgotten, the same explainations for things given multiple times in the same chapter like the author forgot they already explained that, multiple examples of "chekhov's gun.

but having said that, it was still fun.

Best one yet

There is something about this series that keeps me enthralled, even through the bad grammar and other minor issues.

Thoughts

A good story with a few inconsistencies and some repetition but still good and a nice change of pace from the previous entries

A great continuation of this series!

The main characters spend some time powering up and engage in underground arena battles. More is revealed about the main character’s background and he gets some more tools to help him excel. A new character joins the main party and they travel about, taking care of unfinished business. Then the party travels to a new continent where adventure awaits! An academy joined. Merit points are earned. Mystery introduced. Alliances formed. A new side character added to the party. And the mystery solved.

5th book was good but 6th disappointing

i liked the 5th book there was way more action then jumping to the 6th it just got bad i hope he doesn't take that kid with him i might just return the whole series bc of that and i don't like how he couldn't get to the phoenix continent in one book plus the author said stuff in the last book that wasn't true and didn't happen idk i just thought the 6th book was disappointing

good enough

it could be much better but there is enough there to keep me listening. I wish the MC was better developed by now.

MC avoids common sense at random times

For example, he waits months before looking at the martial arts he spent a ton of money on and desperately needed. It seems like the author forgets things and doesn’t want to rewrite or edit anything so it’s tacked on when he remembers. Voice speed is normal at 1.1.

Gives out his secrets like it’s nothing.
