Great read for woman, too!

The title may lead you to think that this book is made for men, but it is also a great read for women. I enjoyed this insightful look into the four male architypes as told through the stories of their therapy experiences, including their Therapist

From a female perspective, I have experienced and or witnessed many of these architypes in my partners and friends. Recognizing and appreciating of how these architypes behave and react can help our counterparts find their “center”.

I really got a kick out of Corey’s animated delivery. He really adds to the overall entertainment value. What a ride!

Completely Changed My Relationship with Men.....

A friend recommended this book to me, she told me it would help me understand men, and deal with difficult men. At first it seems like this book is for men, but it's not, it's for everyone. It is about men, but relevant to us all, and it is the best and most profound thing I've come across in a long time. The book opens with, "Why do dudes do the *hit that they do," and it proceeds to take you on a ride that answers this question.

The book is intense, there is no doubt about that. It pulls no punches, and it does not coddle the reader. It is packed full of profanity but the profanity serves a purpose: It mirrors the intensity and urgency of seeing immature behavior in men and rallies the reader to do something better. To heal. At every step of the way this book urges those in relationship to men to take a stand and demand men show up as men, not as immature teenagers.

It is unlike other self-help books in this regard. It held up a powerful mirror to me and in particular, how much I've gone along with male BS in my life. How I've indulged men's "spun-out" behavior. How I cowered to the A**hole, how I've mothered the Pu**y, how I've indulged the D-bag, and the D*ck, my god, the D*ck, how I've let him convince me that his treating me poorly was something that was my fault because of something I had done. To my shock, I also saw how I have used some of these behaviors in relationship as well.

I now see, and I now understand, and in using the model in the book, I am more empowered in my own life and with men.

The performance: A bad performance can kill a good audiobook. I thought these guys hired a professional. I only realized at the end that it was read by Corey Kilpack, one of the authors. He is incredible, and kept me engaged the entire time. You could feel the emotion coming through him, his passion, his call for something better.

So. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. I want everyone I know to read this book. It is a real gem, a true original.

Original, hilarious, yet profound through clarity!

The best roller coaster of true life. Your laughter will make you aware of the profound truths we must all remind ourselves daily. Don't mistake the title as a joke. It's grandiose language was the best trick to get you to call our BS for exactly what it is.

Awesome read and narration

Great vignettes, wonderfully articulated and super relevant to therapists that work with men and laymen alike. Solid narration and to the point. Many thanks!

I Believe I Fall in Multiple Categories

From the beginning of the book, I was curious which category I may fall into. I found the stories compelling, the subjects challenging and the narrative approach used by the author intriguing. The patience and caring David Coates exhibited for the subjects in the book made me want to send my son to see him. By the end of the book and after my own self evaluation, I begrudgingly realized I encompassed many traits of a few of the categories of a male. I have begun the process of working a few things out. I highly recommend this book. It made me think and evaluate myself. I imagine those around me, especially my wife, will appreciate any progress I am able to make.
