This audiobook opened my eyes in a way that I sincerely have not been the same since. There is a clear before and after in my life concerning this audiobook! Gerard Shaw does an indispensable job at keeping it real and empowering you if your skin is thick enough to do the hard work. Some really good springboard
This book is very useful and has provided me with a good understanding of different types of behaviour and how to be assertive rather than aggressive or passive. It has some great scenarios, examples, well researched explanations, and some springboard exercises as well which are useful if you like workbook-type exercises.

Empowering for Women
This is an excellent Audible for any woman who doesn't want to be "walked on" in relationships but also doesn't want to "walk on" others in the process. It helped me see what assertiveness really is and how being assertive can actually help connect better with others. It teaches you how to better distinguish and communicate your thoughts, feelings, desires, and wants.

Not too late to try
This audiobook made me realize that it’s not too late to try and set a goal of becoming more assertive. This book has clear steps to support those who are taking their first step, just like me. It has given me a beautiful understanding of what assertiveness means, not just by definition, also I now understand why I need it in my life. It has given me a good sense of what it looks like to be assertive and I feel motivated and eager to pursue this newly found endeavor to achieve excellence and confidence.

Made a big difference
It is truly amazing how little changes make such big differences. The quality of my relationships since using the principles has gone to levels I had never dreamed of!
I could not be successful without the help of this audible. I learned how not to insult my co-workers and bosses. I really think with men and women working together so much more these days that it's important to understand the differences, and there are differences between the sexes. This one has helped me very much towards the path of success.

Persuades you into action
This is a magnificent little book for people who manages individuals, groups, teams and organizations. It is pretty straightforward and the content is highly valuable. It doesn’t attempt to impress and the writer doesn’t use aggressiveness to persuade you to take action. It is loyal to what it is preaching and pretty consistent with its messaging. I think if you have the proper comprehension of the more profound purpose of this book and the true purpose of learning assertive behavior, you’ll realize how this book is unique, purposeful, and valuable. The author lays out simple rules and simple concepts to follow. It is more focused on function rather than the glitter and the dazzle that was put into the other books on this topic. I’ll definitely prescribe this book to others who need to improve their social skills in business and personal relationships.

Should be on every woman’s must listen list
The Alpha Assertiveness Guide for Women takes a sensitive issue for women (and men!) and makes it approachable, applicable and relevant no matter what your age or stage in life. As a psychotherapist and life coach who works primarily with women, it will be on my "must listen " list. As an aunt, sister, daughter and mentor, I want to put a copy into the hands of the women I love because the explanations and tools help us to be more fully present, more clearly understood and more capable of deepening connections.
