Publisher's summary

Former dance student Sara Hart had aspired to grace the stage on Broadway, but a reckless decision forced her to renounce that dream. Years later, while struggling with an unsatisfying job and an even more unsatisfying love life, she literally stumbles upon a dangerously sexy stranger who sends her heart - and her body - into hyper-drive. His touch makes her feel alive again and sparks a desire to rebuild her dance career. But Sara is still haunted by the demons of her past. One dark lie could cost her everything.

Real estate mogul Tom Wright caters to the rich and famous. He lives the life of the perfect bachelor, partying hard, and dating the most beautiful women in Manhattan. But he has one golden rule - no commitments. Ever. Then he meets sexy Sara Hart, and something about her makes him want to throw the damn rule book out the window. Every time she’s near, the blood in his veins pulses with a raging fire he can’t contain. But Tom’s shadowed history is resurfacing, unearthing ghosts he’d rather remain buried.

Will this wicked dance be their last?

A Sexy Romance!

Wicked Dance is a story of a dancer, who gave up a promising career on Broadway after car accident that killed her mother 4 years before. So when we meet Sara she is as an assistant to the head of the Dance School. Sara hates her boss Rebecca, who is an obnoxious women, who treats Sara shabbily.
Sara believes that she deserves to be unhappy, and keeps her emotions bottled up inside. Then she meets Tom and their connection is instant. What follows is a dance where they both try to understand their feelings for each other. They both have secrets they are hiding from each other.
This audiobook is 11hours long and ends suddenly, so we know there is another one coming.
I have to be honest Sara drove me mad, she seemed very immature, especially with her dealings with Tom. The sex is hot and Tom was swoonworthy and very romantic. It made me fill tired listening to the fast pace of the narrator, and listening from mostly from Sara’s POV .I think just because I was not blown away, we can’t all enjoy the same things. I would probably read something else from Olivia Boothe.
The narrator was very clever with the different voices and accents.

I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Olivia Boothe. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

Not Broken!

This book pulled me in from the very beginning. Tom and Sara were both damaged from before the story began. Sara was recovering from an auto accident and guilt feelings regarding her mother's death and broken relationship. Tom had PTSD. They meet in a coffee shop and things develop. Both try to fight their growing relationship. The story has some unexpected twists which I really enjoyed. The narrator impressed me with her distinguishable voice for Alexi with the russian accent. I would definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review.

Exciting Story!

Sara had been an dancer when she had been in a car accident claiming her mother’s life. Tom was a successful businessman and he was suffering from PTDS. They saw each other in a coffee shop and neither could get the other out of their minds. They were both damaged souls. Could they loose themselves in each other with love?
This is a must listen because you can’t stop. Vanessa does a great job narrating it.

Sarah and Tom

This book was able to stir my emotions, and I was able to identify with the characters. The author takes a look at topics that are not usually delved into such as PTSD and survivor’s guilt. These factors made the characters that much more relatable and loveable.T hey overreact, jump to conclusions, but ultimately still want to me together so have to figure it out. They have their hot and steamy moments. The narrator did a good job! I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I wanted to Like This Story

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. There were many parts of this story that I enjoyed but so many others I thought were just trite. The heroine was just too flighty for me.and the hero was timid, then strong, then mean, then the true hero. Who gets attacked in an office and rather than calling the police run home with bruises and say I am going back to work for the guy? He is so much taller, stronger, and meaner yet she says she can handle him. Then the hero tells her to stay home and he will handle it. All of the male voices sounded female. There is a nice story here but

Narration out ranked story for me . . .

I type these words with a heavy heart. I was certain that I wanted to listen to this book the first time that I read the blurb about it. Then once I down loaded the book, I was ready to get started on listening. It took me an hour to get a feel for the narrator and the pacing of the book. The spark took root when Sara meets Mr. ID for the first time. Then it plateaued for me for another few hours of listening time. I could understand Sara and her need to be a bit standoffish and yet still have the deep craving to be in the presence of a man she didn't even know his name. Then upon learning his name its almost like the obsession to be with him and stay away from him increased. I was just an observer of their relationship from far on the outside and I was getting confused and annoyed. Sara had a heavy and confused heart of her own. Then there was Mr. ID/Tom and he was lacking in some qualities that would make him that drool worthy stick with you kinda book boyfriend. Then he began to confuse me with some of his non-actions. He wants her but don't call for days or see her for long periods.

I just could not figure these two out. Then when I was beginning to feel a connection with the both Tom and Sara as a growing couple other things happen to throw me off. I do love a story that can keep me involved even with the twist and turns and even with emotional ups and down, but there was something missing here that was more pushing me to give up. Not just the fact that that I did not feel like I got a completed story. I admit to having to listen to this twice because when it came time for me to write the review, I literally forgot what had me completing the book. All i could remember was that I was not happy with the ending or the last eight to ten chapters for that matter.

Narration was good. There was not a duo to perform but the single performance gave you a good feel of the characters. Vanessa Moyen gave you complex, confused, hurt, scared, elation, and others in her performance. Even the feel of Tom's character was good. From the words I did not find him to be a superior type of alpha male that was an all around ladies man and Vanessa gave him a matching vocal support. I was not overly impressed by the dips and valleys of the story itself but Vanessa gave me a visual picture to see and kept me moving forward though the entire read.

Super sweet

This is a fast-paced read featuring broken leads, lots of sweetness, and fairytale vibes. It was very sweet, and based on this (my first book by this author) I’d absolutely read more.

🩰 Set in NYC and Malibu.
🩰 Chance encounter.
🩰 Millionaire or billionaire hero.
🩰Broken hero, with lots of secrets.
🩰 Miscommunication / misunderstandings.
🩰 Other woman drama.
🩰 Assault.
🩰 Dreams re-visited.

Overall:
Although unoriginal, it did entertain me and have me loving to hate some characters while rooting for others so, well done. 4 stars.

🎧 Audio:
Moyen is an amazing narrator, so this was perfect.
5 stars.

Story Plateaus

For me I didn’t love the story as much as I had hoped. It was interesting and spicy in the beginning and then just kind of sits there for most of the book not really escalating at all. I also didn’t feel a big connection to the main characters and their romance. I would have liked to have things go more in depth and more events to have happened within the story. I give it about a 3.5 for having interesting enough characters and a good start, but lack of follow through brought it down.

The narration for me was good. Moyen does a good job portraying characters and emotions. There are different voices for everyone and there doesn’t seem to be any weird pacing issues or pauses in the audio. I think she could have spiced up some sections a bit, as with the novel parts of the audio got a little boring for me. I give it a 4/5 stars.
