About this listen

What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas. Especially when you wake up with a naked man in your bed and a ring on your finger.

Some people just can't handle Vegas.

My friend warned me that Vegas can turn the most straightlaced girl into a party-crazed slut. I didn't believe her. I've always been the straightest of the straight.

Boy, was I wrong.

I hate being wrong.

My first morning in Vegas and I wake up in a hotel room with no memory of the night before. Oh, and there's a naked stranger lying next to me who gives a new meaning to the word hungover.

Things go from bad to worse when I find a wedding ring wrapped around my finger. Then things escalate from worse to catastrophic when I find out that the infuriating man who gave it to me is my new boss. When I find out he wants to stay married - all bets are off.

My friend warned me that some people can't handle Vegas.

I should have listened. Because I am definitely one of those people.

Contains mature themes.

The story wasn’t really believable

I don’t often write reviews, but this story was just bizarre. I hate spoilers so I won’t, but the storyline is a bit out there. And the dynamic between father, son, and nephew seemed unbelievable in their extremes. Add to that, the author’s odd use of the English language, and the book just left me wrinkling my brow. The story is set in the U.S. but the author uses non American English phrasing. It was odd. It’s a short enough included in membership listen, so I went ahead and finished it.

So Much Fun!

I loved this book. It seriously had me laughing out loud. Tyler and Dahlia "meet" at a bar and after one shot the "Lucky 7" they have quite an adventure around Vegas. Pineapple chapel, drunken Asian Elvis, sex club, become prophets of a cult, ass tattoos and so much more. I enjoyed slowly learning more about their wild night through other people. The ending is perfect. Highly recommend.

Hilarious; laughing with tears

Any book that includes Kenny Loggins' Footloose is an excellent start in my book.

I especially liked that we don't hear about Tyler's womanizing ways or have female drama.

a refreshing and hot comedy of errors.

👜💍🩶🐠
Was looking for a light read and found this little gem my first read by Kimberly Fox and first Listen by narrators
Nelson Hobbs and Cassandra Myles .
👜🐠💍🐠
It’s fun filled with witty laugh out loud multiple moments with charming characters Tyler and Dahlia who got swept up in a weirdly gut busting hilarious escapade while in Vegas after doing what was called the Lucky 7 shot !
💍.
You really need to read this book to get the full experience these two went through, hilarious, and the POVs of people they interacted with during the Wild crazy time ..Hilarious!
From the different characters perspective you get the full picture of what happened that night as Tyler and Dahlia have no clue on re accountability.
So . Much . To unpack!
💍
Easily now one of my favorite “what happened in Vegas” moments!
And not to mention that the narrators delivered one heck of performance bringing this hilariously funny story to life !
Well done Nelson Hobbs and Cassandra Myles .

Many fun "OMG! Did that Really happen?" moments.

Thanks to a lackadaisical bartender, Tyler and Dahlia have a wild night in Las Vegas that includes them getting married. Unfortunately neither of them can recall anything. And it gets even more awkward the following day when they discover that Tyler is Dahlia’s new boss.
This is definitely not a book where the hero holds the power and lauds it over the heroine. Not at all. Dahlia is smart, spunky and determined to carve out a career for herself. She gives as good as she gets, and Tyler’s attempts to control her never work out quite like he imagined.

Add in two quirky sets of parents (his, who hanker after grandchildren, and hers, the epitome of everything hippy) plus the evil cousin out to ruin them and you’ve got a wonderfully entertaining read.

And even though our couple never really knows *everything* that happens on “The Night”, we readers do thanks to the points of view of several characters they encounter along the way. I admire Tyler and Dahlia’s attitude with each discovery they do make because I think I would have been mortified!

This was such a fun book to listen to. It is narrated by Cassandra Myles and Nelson Hobbs who do an excellent job of conveying all emotions. They do a great job with their comedic timing and it was a pleasure to listen to.

I do wish the cover for this book was different. It does nothing to convey what a fun book this is and is easily lost amongst the sea of shirtless men on romance book covers today.

Total entertainment!

Romantic comedy at it's best, Kimberly Fox has written a gem. From the first scene, it caught my attention and made me laugh. Pineapples and cults, greed and free love, this book has a variety of quirky characters and the situations they are found in are just incredibly funny. With that in mind though, this book is far from all fluff. It is a light listen with a serious plot woven into the story. Tyler and Dahlia have had their share of life's disappointments. With each other, will they be able to achieve their goals? The billionaire son marries the hippie daughter, their love is not instant, but there is a lot of chemistry. Through many embarrassing situations, this couple muddles through to find their happily ever after.

Nelson Hobbs and Cassandra Myles narrate this story to perfection Nelson Hobbs has a way of using his voice with such inflections that you can hear the hilarity in one scene and the sadness in the next! This is my first Cassandra Myles narration and I loved her. Her comedic timing and emotional pull were so apparent in her performance, you could feel Dahlia's turmoil and love. The two complimented each other and made for an pleasurable listen.

I laughed out loud

What happens when you wake up in a hotel room with a random guy and then walk in a meeting to see that same guy. This week I needed to read some humor after reading 2 pretty intense books before starting on the third book and this was a pretty good diversion from my book roller coaster.

There were several moments throughout the book that I really laughed out loud. Who doesn't laugh when a character goes by one name only to find out her actual name is Rainbow Solstice the first and her fathers name is Echo because he heard his voice repeat after him lol. How wrong can you go with pineapples, ball gags, whips, hippy parents, and a night you have no recollection of. As I am writing this I am thinking of how many times I actually laughed but since I do not like giving spoilers, I can say if you want to laugh this may be the book to do it for you.

No spoilers

Could have been a good book. It was a bit child like it wasn't for me. It was supposed to be funny and really wasn't felt very rushed in spots.
