About this listen

They say size doesn't matter....

Football star and Internet sensation Gavin "Anaconda" Adams is the biggest celebrity our little town has ever seen.

But I had no idea who he was when I accidentally walked in on him naked. I was shocked, seeing all of him, a cocky grin on his face. I didn't know what to do.

So I ran.

Now I'm in a world of trouble. No matter what I do, I can't get that image out of my head. His strong muscular thighs. His washboard abs. His big, throbbing, toe-curling...Jesus!

To make matters worse, Gavin wants a date with me. He's seen the lust in my eyes, and he's not taking no for an answer. I should tell him to get lost. He's nothing but trouble, and he's only here for a week. But with one look, I go weak in the knees. And whenever I hear his deep, rich voice, I feel my defenses crumbling. It's only one night. What could it hurt?

Anaconda is a full-length sexy romantic comedy with an HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger!

Light and cheeky

This was a fun listen for me. It's cheeky and predictable, but the narration sure brought an abundance of sexayyy!! There were more than a few scenes that had me blushing lol. If you're looking for a naughty guilty pleasure that's low on the melodrama?? This is it...

The whole package

Great start to this standalone series. I loved the book when it came out and listening to it in audio with the dual POV gave it that extra depth. Gavin 'Anaconda' Adams is an ex-football star that has been left with the nickname Anaconda after an unfortunate incident in a locker room with a female reporter. He is now trying his luck at acting, however he keeps getting distracted by the maid he first encountered upon arriving at his hotel. His 'bunny' who keeps eluding him.

Brianna cannot lose her job, however Gavin is not making things easy for her once he sets his sights on her. Her best friend Mindy is an absolute riot with her innapropriate thoughts that she cannot help but voice. I loved their story and would highly recommend. The female narrator had a very Miley Cyrus twang to her voice which at times left me a little distracted, but overall, I thought both narrators did a great job representing their respective characters.

Male narrator 😫

His performance was awful, he made the book seem bad. It’s not a bad book, it’s his narration.

Narration cringe worthy 😩

The male narrator was atrocious! He yelled the sex scenes like he was announcing the winning play at the super bowl.... seriously 😒 not sexy at all, skip worthy to say the least. Who produces these things and listens and says oh yea, that is wonderful. 🤥
Good story - should have read the written book version

I really dislike the narrators alternating chptrs

I really dislike the narrators alternating chapters instead of a true collaboration. His female voices were terrible and her male voices were just as bad. A collaboration would have been perfect, because his male interpretations were great, and her female interpretations were great lol.

As to the story itself... it was OK. The heroine was a little tstl, and the hero was pretty shallow. The "drama" was fairly ridiculous, but there were a lot of cute parts, and overall I'd read more of her books.

Entertaining

It's not the most amazing book ever, but it's definitely entertaining, sexy, and has pretty good characters.

Can't get rid of once incident.

This story is one that emphasizes the lack of privacy some celebreties have and how people can completely ignore that celebrities statements in favor of the more sensational story. Because who would believe a man could accidentally drop his towel by accident? Now Gavin has been stuck with a nickname he hates for years and nobody can seem to let go of that one accidental exposure. Just about every interview involves questions about that video and him being called Anaconda. In an effort to draw the focus away from the incident, his publicist thinks it would be a great idea to try his hand at acting, which is exactly what brings him to Brianna's little town.

Brianna is working to gain her master's degree in school itself and in a hotel to pay for said school. The only saving grace of the job she hates largely because of her horrible manager is that she gets to work with her best friend, Mindy. When she goes to clean what should be an unoccupied room, the last thing she expects is for the sexiest man she's ever laid eyes on to come walking out of the bathroom. Completely naked.

No woman has ever run from Gavin before, so he's intrigued. On a mission to find the mysterious maid, he heads to the hotel's coffee shop (where she has just learned who he actually is) and inadvertantly ends up talking to Mandy, who assures him she doesn't know who he's talking about, though it's clearly a lie.

Gavin's quest to find Brianna is only for the purpose of finding the beautiful woman who fled his room and bed her. One night and she'll be out of his system. Brianna's desire to avoid Gavin is for the same reason: she figures he's only looking for a one-night-stand. Despite her better judgement (and with Mindy's encouragement), Brianna gives into desire. As it always seems to go in these novels, Gavin quickly finds that one night with Brianna is not enough; that his plan to get her out of his system only makes him burn hotter for her. Additionally, her simple life in this town in the middle of nowhere and the people who live there are becoming increasingly appealing.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It didn't have a ton of depth to it, but it was upbeat and entertaing. The book features multiple quite explicit steamy scenes. I really liked that Gavin appeared to have become much more grounded since his rookie days of football. Grounded enough to realize that other things in life are more important. The book features a HEA ending with no cliffhanger.
