Heart warming

Untamed Hearts by Toni Goode is a heartwarming and steamy romance that pulls you into the world of a rugged, brooding lumberjack and a fierce journalist whose lives collide in unexpected ways. The audiobook perfectly captures the tension, passion, and emotional highs and lows of this unlikely pairing, making it a delightful listen from start to finish.

Henry, the reclusive lumberjack, becomes an accidental internet sensation when his private videos go viral, and the narrator does a great job bringing his character to life. His rugged charm and vulnerability make him a compelling hero, while Lucinda, the ambitious journalist, adds the perfect counterbalance with her fiery determination and curiosity. The chemistry between the two characters is palpable, and the narrator brings out the sparks and emotions in a way that feels genuine and immersive.

As Henry grapples with his newfound fame and Lucinda faces the moral dilemma of exploiting his story for her career, the audiobook dives deep into themes of trust, forgiveness, and second chances. The pacing is well-done, blending moments of sizzling romance with deeper emotional beats, as both characters confront their pasts and try to navigate the challenges of love under the spotlight.

What really stands out in this audiobook is the emotional depth of both Henry and Lucinda’s journeys. The voice work captures their internal struggles and vulnerabilities, making their love story feel authentic and relatable. Whether it’s the moments of passion or the heartache of betrayal, the narration keeps you hooked throughout.

I need my own lumberjack

This was such a sweet story with some emotional ups and downs. It is about Lucinda and Henry. Lucinda is a reporter who happens upon a newly discovered DIY video on a social media page of a man named Henry who chops wood in his videos and has been named a lumberjack. Lucinda’s boss wants her to do a story on Henry so she flies out to where she discovered on her own where he is located at least the state. Once there in the state she stays at a Bed and Breakfast and asks the lady owner if she might know any lumberjacks because she wants to know the history behind the trade. The owner sends her to a hardware store where she believes they may have some more information. So she visits hardware store and is given Henry’s address but they don’t know she’s a reporter. Henry is a very private person so when she goes to find him she’s confronted by his pet wolf and she is scared then Henry shows up and asks what she’s doing there, she then introduces herself as a reporter and he asks her to leave but before that happens Lucinda faints from all the stress of the rejection and Henry catches her. I will stop there and let you listen for the rest yourself. This was such an emotional well paced romance story. The narrator had a southern accent so he fit in with Henry. This was a fast listen as well. And the plot thickens toward the second half of the story and there is a twist near the end. I just wish the story was longer. I would recommend this story to fans of the Author and to those that enjoy lumberjack or country style (not cowboy) romances with strong lead characters.

Good audiobook

Toni Goode writes a heart warming, steamy, romantic story. MFC is determined to find and interview a hunky lumberjack that has videos on a social media site. MMC doesn't know his private videos are on social media. But, when I fiesty journalist shows up, their attraction grows.
The audiobook is done well and was enjoyable to listen to. Gerald Allison does the narration and a wonderful job.

Untamed Hearts!

This is an interesting story about Lucinda and Henry. Henry is a man fighting demons and dealing with PTSD. He has moved cross country to build a quiet life in seclusion and find peace. While there he finds an injured wolf that he rescues and takes in. He posts life with is wolf in what he believes is his own private spot. It is liked, shared and soon is discovered by Lucinda. He is the Lumberjack, and as a reporter, she is determined to find him and tell his story. She is focused on her career and convinces him to go to New York, great idea. This is a good story with second chances, redemption, healing, trust and more.

Love finds the lumberjack

I liked this story of two individuals who both have issues to deal with finding love. Henry is a strong character that likes his privacy and Lucinda the women who is on a mission to reveal his story. It gives you love with a happy ending and a short story worth reading.

Good

I really enjoyed this book. I really liked Henry. He has his demons to fight and finds peace in isolation to deal with his PTSD. The videos he was uploading of himself just living his life with his rescued pet wolf were always supposed to be private. He never realized he'd went viral until a reporter tracked him down to interview him to write an article. Then he has a choice to make. Does he turn her away and take down the videos? Does he accept the interview for the money for his family? What changes will this and the city girl have on his life?

I listened to this audiobook narrated by Gerald Allison. He did a good job bringing these characters to life. I really liked the tone of his voice. It was my first time listening to this narrator.
