Story
Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Story
A bad best man’s speech can ruin a wedding. Why do we plan every detail of a perfect day and then give the groom’s idiot best friend five minutes of total power? Enter Nate (Glen Powell), a speechwriter-for-hire who helps people write incredible best man speeches. To keep the best man from embarrassing himself (and the newlyweds), Nate uses his list of don’ts: Don’t mention the exes, don’t be rated R, and don’t bum everyone out. Nate’s system never fails. That is, until he meets Dan (Nicholas Braun).

Traumatized by the bombing of Dresden at the time he had been imprisoned, Pilgrim drifts through all events and history, sometimes deeply implicated, sometimes a witness. Story
Alice's journey begins as all good journeys do: hitting on the sales guy at REI. After a tumultuous breakup, a quick career transition, family upheaval, and a sobriety journey that didn't fix her life quite as much as she expected it to, Alice decides that the only way to solve all her problems is to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. But as she begins preparing for the months-long quest, she realizes the answers she's seeking might not be on top of a snow-covered mountain. Especially since she just learned there was snow in California.

Story
Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

A Much-Needed Break from the Digital Chaos
This audiobook hit home in the best way possible. It humorously yet thoughtfully addresses our love-hate relationship with technology. The mix of lighthearted anecdotes and genuinely practical advice makes it easy to relate to and apply in everyday life. I found myself laughing at the absurdity of some scenarios but also motivated to take a step back from constant screen time. LB Neibaur’s narration perfectly captured the humor and sincerity of the content, making it an entertaining and impactful listen. Highly recommend if you’re ready to unplug with a smile.

Digital Freedom: Breaking Free with a Smile
As someone who found themselves doom-scrolling until 3 AM too often, this audiobook caught my attention at the perfect time. The author tackles our complicated relationship with technology through a refreshing blend of humor and practical wisdom.
The narrator's engaging delivery makes even complex topics like algorithms and digital addiction feel approachable. I particularly enjoyed the section about setting boundaries without becoming a "digital hermit"—it's realistic advice for those of us who need to stay connected for work but want better balance.
While some suggestions might seem obvious (yes, we know we shouldn't check our phones first thing in the morning), the humorous anecdotes and relatable examples make the advice stick. The parenting section offers valuable insights for managing kids' screen time without creating power struggles.
My only quibble is that some solutions seem more suited to casual social media users than those whose work requires a constant online presence. Still, I've already implemented several tips and finally had my first phone-free dinner in months. Worth 5 Stars all day!

Disconnect Without Missing Out
This book had me laughing and nodding the whole way through. It breaks down the madness of social media and constant notifications in a way that’s super relatable. The humor makes the advice easy to stick to, like starting a digital detox you actually enjoy. The AI and algorithm jokes were spot-on—I’ll never see my “recommended for you” the same way again. If you’ve ever felt glued to your phone, this is a fun way to hit pause and get your life back.
