A Delightfully Steamy and Suspenseful Romance!

"To Redeem a Duke" by Nina Jarrett is an absolute delight from start to finish! This book perfectly captures the charm of a Regency romance while adding layers of suspense and intrigue that kept me on the edge of my seat. Sophia and Lord Richard’s journey is both passionate and heartfelt, with just the right balance of tension and steamy romance.

Sophia is a brilliant character—strong-willed, intelligent, and determined to control her own fate. I loved how she wasn’t just a damsel in distress but took charge of her situation. Lord Richard, on the other hand, is a captivating blend of roguish charm and vulnerability. Watching his transformation from a scandalous earl to a man who deeply cares for Sophia was truly satisfying.

Nina Jarrett has woven a gripping plot filled with danger, deception, and undeniable chemistry between the leads. The looming threat against Sophia adds a sense of urgency and tension that makes their growing connection all the more powerful.

Claire Glover once again shines as the narrator. Her delivery of each character’s voice is spot-on, bringing depth to their personalities and making the listening experience incredibly immersive. She perfectly captures the emotions of the story, and her performance made it hard to press pause.

If you’re a fan of Regency romance with strong heroines, reformed rakes, and a fast-paced plot, "To Redeem a Duke" is a must-listen. I couldn’t get enough of this charming and suspenseful love story, and I highly recommend it!

I received the Audible audiobook version free. The review is my own assessment and opinions on the storyline as I listened to the audiobook. Neither the author, publisher, narrator, or producer have had any influence on my review.

Came here for the VA, stayed for the story!

I don't know if I could truly sum up what feels so refreshing and compelling about this series. The internal conflict is compelling and endearing. Reading about people learning to be better people in whatever time or place is, for some reason, an instant winner for me. Probably because in the end, everyone can relate to wanting to get better. I realize this review doesn't account for the steamy content, but other than "hot damn, well written!" I was genuinely captivated by the progression of the story. Great performance by Claire as always!

Redemption

Can a marriage of convenience turn into something more? Can a person really change, and atone for his past discretions?

I really enjoyed this story by Nina Jarrett. A marriage of convenience, protection, and redemption, a chance at love… it all comes together.

Once again Claire Glover does an admirable job with the narration. I will certainly listen to more of her performances.

Sophia and the Earl

Lord Richard Balfour is the consummate rake. Having lost his potential bride to his cousin the Duke of Halmesbury, he is again looking for a wife. The insipid debutantes he has found at balls are not what he wants. Miss Sophia Hayward appears to be one of those debutantes. Sophia does not wish to marry, so she puts an act to put potential suitors off. Richard changes his mind about Sophia when he hears her talk about the cad he is. Shocked at her description of him, he decides two things. One, he will change his ways, and two, he will woo Sophia. When she discovers that there is a plot afoot to force her to marry a horrid man for her dowry, she agrees to marry Richard for protection. How will their union work out? This is an entertaining book with likeable characters (except the villains, of course). There is a lot of humor, a rather dangerous mystery, a twist and turn or two, a steamy romance, and a happy ending. It is a great addition to the series. Narration was enjoyable.
