About this listen

Aubrey Gates is the hottest divorce lawyer in Chicago, a barb-tongued stiletto with legs that go on for miles. When her cool gray eyes meet mine across the battlefield, I want her like I’ve never wanted anyone or anything. Then I remember who she is: the woman who brought me to my knees, the woman who destroyed my faith in relationships, the woman I used to call...wife. And now she needs a favor from me, Grant Lincoln.

It seems my ex forgot to mention the demise of our marriage to her dear old grammy, and now we’re both expected to attend her 90th birthday party...in Boston. And because it isn’t already awkward enough, Aubrey and I are driving there together from Chicago. That’s more than a thousand miles of tension, heartbreak, and barely concealed lust. A little piece of paper might say we’re over, but this road trip is the true test. I intend to get my wife back...and I won’t stop until “I do.”

Aubrey and Grant

Not every relationship ends in a happily ever after. Aubrey and Grant went on a journey of heartache, self discovery, and learned to let go of the past and hurt. I absolutely enjoyed this emotional but heart felt story.
Jason Clarke was fantastic as always, Pippa Jayne was just as great.

Read this book!

It has been a long time since a book has touched me so deeply. Both narrators were excellent and truly brought these 2 unique characters alive and believable.

I had the feels with this one!

This couple loved each other and had to go through some really hard times. I cried a lot during this book being able to relate to the characters. But how amazing to have this man not give up on his wife and keep trying to make things better. Loved it!!

More

I’d love for this law practice to generate more stories — of themselves, of clients, whatever. I really enjoyed these characters and am sorry to come to the end of the series!

Loved it!

I loved this second chance marriage reconciliation book! The love these two felt for eachother was so palpable. Grant was such an amazing guy that he gets my 5 star rating by himself.

Beautifully emotional

I really enjoyed this book for it's emotional punch. There's something to be said about a book highlights an event that can tear even the strongest couples apart and then the beauty that happens when they heal, slowly but surely. This book follows that journey. Aubrey and Grant had to overcome such a difficult event, one that caused them to divorce. Through the book, they realize their own roles in it and there were plenty of smiles and tears in this journey. It was a fitting end to the series and while totally standalone, the other characters in prior books do make appearances so it would be good to read in order.

As always Jason Clarke is wonderful. He affect a really subtle accent (Grant is from the South) and plays all character well, deftly moving from one character, male or female, to another. He is truly a skilled narrator. Pippa Jayne does really well too- she is really great at playing all the characters. The only thing is that her Southern accent for Grant is really a lot stronger than Jason Clarke's is so there was an inconsistency between the two. Otherwise, these two were great.

Beautiful story of healing

This was the best in the series! Challenging issues were dealt with really well and loved how complex both of the characters were.
Only problem was the inconsistency with accents - female narrator did a stronger Southern accent for Grant.

Great second chance Romance

I loved watching Aubrey and Grant get their story back to where it should be. It is hard on a marriage to experience loss, and divorce an time away was what they needed to get back to them.

Readers were very good. Enjoyed this Audiobook.

Loss and healing

There was so much pain for two people but so much joy as they found their way back to one another. Though there was a lot of heartache from the loss that they suffered it really brought to light their truest if connections and ended on a happy note.

🎧 Aubrey and Grant 🎧

A beautifully emotional second-chance story of a couple of divorce lawyers whose marriage fell apart for heretofore unknown reasons.
Third book in the series and I think Aubrey's moneyed Bostonian character is the best fit for Pippa Jayne. Jason Clarke has been excellent throughout, but Grant is also a great fit for him.
