The police?
The military?
Your crazy prepper neighbor?

No, it's time for the Zee Brothers! Two bad-ass brothers trying to keep the apocalypse from happening one job at a time!

Fabulous & Fun Zombie Tales

This Box Set contains 2 different stories that can be read as standalones but to get the full effect I recommend reading them in order. The Zee brothers and JJ are fantastic characters and don't get me started on how amazing Xanadu is!!! The humor, action and pop culture references make these stories extremely enjoyable. The narrator is perfect at bringing story and characters to life with distinct and easy to understand voices. I look forward to more in this series!!

Orgasms AND chocolate, oh my!

Volume 1 - Zombie Omelet
Bert, from Pest Be Gone, left the crawl space access door open after his inspection and now there’s a zombie infestation to clean up at Winter Oaks complex. The Zee boys to the rescue!
Volume 2 - Zombie School Lockdown
The young lad Tommy Tucker wasn’t feeling well and was sent to the nurse’s office at the Sevigny Charter School. Secretary Bobbie comforted Tommy as nurse Janet was absent. Little girl Wendy was sent to the nurse’s office and saw Tommy sleeping. She couldn’t resist poking him. Janet, the nurse came to check on Tommy, found Wendy as well, and bandaged her bleeding finger. Unfortunately for Principle Hotchkins, Bobbie was servicing him when she turned. Ouch! As they say, one thing led to another; Tommy to Bobbie to Wendy to Principle Hotchkins, which led to the Zee boys being called to stop an outbreak. I was wondering, why did they have Larry strung up? Anyway, the two tales are a fun romp through the zombie universe. Enjoyment to be had by all.

Z is for Zed, and Zee means they're dead

Anytime there is a comparison to the Army of Darkness to a novel I am, shall we say, intrigued. These guys are the Frog Brothers from Lost Boys on fizzy lifting drink. To say that their exploits are fun is an understatement. I can completely envision Ashley J. Williams as a long lost relative of theirs.

The book is a fun take on the zombie genre, much in the same way that Zombieland took a bite out of Zed movies. Shaun of the Dead is good, but this is a campy goofiness that just can't be touched. The writing flows fairly well, the action is sharp, and the quips filled with wit. You will love the characters, and that doofy dog, Xanadu, too. You shouldn't be able to have this much fun without drinking.

One nice thing is that although this is fun, it doesn't mince on the gore and the horror. There is most certainly some adult themes here and chillins need not try to listen in to this incredible set of stories.

McEuon amps up the humor and action with his narrative skills. He switches effortlessly between the voices, and makes you feel like you are listening to one awesome movie that is playing in the other room. He made me laugh more than a dozen times just by the inflection of his voice.

Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. In fact, getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.

very silly

Very tongue in cheek, zombie series about two brothers who after working as pest exterminators become zombie exterminators through a series of mishaps. In this box set, I listened to books 1&2. I found the voices a little out of sync with the covers as well as JJ's voice being a little annoying. This series as very cliched zombie instances and doesn't take itself very seriously. These two deal with a gated community built on a graveyard and a school exposed to an "accidental" outbreak. Apparently in this time zombie outbreaks are not uncommon. I enjoyed he story more than the performance. Xanadu the dog is an hysterical addition to the trio, though I won't sat his addition. I received the audiobook free and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Zombie Exterminators!

Volume 1: Curse of the Zombie Omelet

The Zee Brothers are hilarious! If you love to laugh at zombie shenanigans, this book is for you!

Jonah and Judas are Zombie Exterminators, called in to rid homes of the worst kinds of pests. This time when they get the call, they are too late to save their client, but they still take on the job, because that's what they do! The disturbance of Native American burial grounds and the loss of an amulet (or is it an omelet?) causes zombies to rise in order to get the amulet back. In the meantime, the people in the community have also been turned into zombies.

Laugh out loud funny at times, I truly enjoyed this book. If you are offended by gore, sexist remarks or cursing, don't bother reading this one. If you love the irreverence that Grivante brings to the genre, this is thoroughly entertaining.

I love the narration and especially loved the addition of the music, both during the story (queue Disco!) and at the end of the book. The narrator did a great job and this book is a rapid fire zombie fest.

Volume 2: Zombie School Lockdown

Another great adventure with the brothers Zee. This time, Jonah and Judas are called about a potential zombie outbreak at the local school. But, these zombies seem to be a little different than some they have encountered before, with even their blood being toxic if touched!

Of course, you have the usual slightly off-color humor, plenty of gore, and banter between the brothers. You also have JJ and Xanadu, the amazing disco-loving dog who come in to save the day. There is also a potential for romance between our brothers and the gorgeous JJ, but who will she choose? Or, will she even try to choose between them?

If you enjoy the zombie genre mixed with humor, you can't go wrong with Grivante's writings. But, don't listen to this book in public or people will definitely question your sanity (unless they have the same twisted mind that you do!).

The narrator, Ian McEuen, does a fantastic job and really adds a lot to the listener's enjoyment of the book. His voices for each of the characters is perfect and his timing is spot-on. I was given the chance to listen to this book through Audiobook Boom! and chose to review it.

Silly Stories

These stories are just for silly fun. There isn’t much to the plots, and there is plenty of “guy humor,” so be forewarned that they are not for anyone who is easily offended by sexual language. If you just want a few laughs and don’t have much time to invest in a full length book then these are perfect.

The narration is pretty good. Ian McEuen certainly has talent, but it is still a bit raw at the time of recording these stories. He has distinct character voices and good pacing. There are just some voices that are a bit exaggerated in their goofiness, and at times during the first volume it sounds like he is reading rather than performing the narrative sections. He does a much better job in Volume 2, as the story flows through him smoothly. He also has good command of dialogue inflection, and definitely shows promise.

Hillbilly Zombie Hunters

When listening to this I can't help picturing it as a cartoon, it feels cartoonish, it seems that it was written with the goal of it becoming an adult cartoon. If you enjoy stories about really stupid southerners exterminating Zombies, trashy women, & supernatural dogs that play disco music when tossed into the air you will love this book.

Zombie box set for the zombie fan

I had a lot of fun listening to this box set. The story moves fast, it is packed with action, filled with humour and, you know, zombies.
The book has a take on the zombie genre that I found that I like. It has a less of the apocalyptic end of humanity and more of zombies being a reoccurring problem. The Zee brothers made solving this problem into their job and together with JJ and the dog Xanadu make a great show of it. I recommend this for you if you generally like zombie books and movies
The book contains adult themes like sex, killing and swearing so it is not for you who get offended easily.
Ian McEuen does a fantastic job with the narration. He has a wide range of voices and effortlessly changes between them. Truly a great listen.

Brothers vs Zombies

The Zee brothers are called to handle the Zombie outbreak. They meet JJ and her dog, Xanadu. Together they fight dozens of the once dead.
Ian McEuen brings to us a fantastic narration, using many different voices and inflections. There is drama, humor and a teensy bit of romance. Probably not for young children but a blast for everyone else.
