Solid Information

If you could sum up The New Rules of Running in three words, what would they be?

Good overview of training for a marathon written for beginners and advanced runners.

What other book might you compare The New Rules of Running to and why?

The original running books by Jim Fixx or George Sheehan.

What about Steven Menasche’s performance did you like?

He was perfect for this type of book. Never listened to him before but he did a good job.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Stretching and nutrition tips were good and I plan to fit them into my workout routine.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend this book for any athlete who wants to learn more of what it takes to run a marathon. A short book with good info from a medical doctor.

Needs updating

The diet part was killing me. Needs fat adaptation in it the carbs for energy can be dangerous advice.

The choosing shoe by foot rye has also been disproved.
