About this listen

Living in the Los Angeles wasteland can be tough - especially when you’re just some dude whose only real skill is computer hacking. So, Artie Gonzalez spends most of his days building drones, modifying his bipolar robot girlfriend, and scavenging for his next pair of Chuck Taylors. Artie watched the world end 10 years ago. That was after the famous programmer Satoshi Nakamoto released the world’s first sentient artificial intelligence.

Now planet Earth is a dump and Artie has finally accepted that fact, doing what any other respectable tech-nerd might do in his situation - build a post-apocalyptic man-cave. But the world is much different than he thinks. He’ll soon learn that thugs, raiders, and the occasional mutant are the least of his concerns. Something terrible is making its way from the east, kidnapping humans and rendering cities desolate - and Artie may be the only one with the skills to stop it. With the help of some new friends, Artie is about to embark upon the quest of a lifetime - and maybe earn some Bitcoin along the way.

Post-Apocalypse Life with Robot Friends

It’s a world where Chappie, the real world part of the Matrix, and Mad Max came together but the protagonist is Dade “Zero Cool” Murphy.
I highly recommend.
One gripe: Get your gun lingo right. Mags or Magazines, NOT CLIPS.

good but just a little rough on the edges

okay this is a great book with great characters and story, the only thing I can think was a little off was the changing perspective through about half the book was slightly jarring but you could get used to it I think. all in all good book.

The second one just came out and I am patiently waiting for audible to add it. I love going to the gym and listening to books, this is one of my favorites.

good book

I've read a lot of books by just as many authors and for what this book is I'd say it's worth the read or listen yes it may be a little crud and seem hastily put together but that's one of the things that makes it good its genuinely from the imagination it's story telling at its finest

A very original dystopian story

So I enjoyed the plot, very original plot. I don’t want to give too much away but it’s about a nerd who took care of his Artificial intelligent daughter and they fall in love. Then life takes a sudden left turn. I really enjoyed how the AI woman starts to develop a personality that becomes rooted in a cult leader/prophet mentality. I follow the author on TikTok and that’s how I learned about the book.

I believe he does all the voices. He did a really good job. I kinda wished he had a woman doing the female voices though. I got spoiled from listening to graphic audio.

The main character Artie i feel like some moments I hate him. Other moments I completely relate to him. I have been doing a Star Trek next generation marathon and I felt like Artie was a lot like Wesely Crusher. Sometimes though I wonder if Artie has some sort of Autism. Or he is just that socially awkward.
One my favorite things about the book is about the coke! I love coke!!! That bar scene with all the fighting amazing!!
Also the interrogation scene with the army at the checkpoint It almost made me cry. The book made me wonder about bitcoin. And I need to start learning programming or writing code.
Also I am a member of the church loved that little bit at salt lake
The book ends on a cliffhanger and I am really looking forward to the next book.

If I could ask the author a question, which dystopian books influenced you when writing this?
Follow up question would you ever write the point of view from the AI Deity perspective?

An amazing story

so I just wanna say that I ABSOLUTELY loved this story. It's funny and gritty and has me at the edge of my seat more than once. The love that Lana and Arty have for each other is so cute and funny. I loved Gordon as a character was was genuinely upset about what happens to him. I will say though that while I love this story I do have a few issues. the first one being that I could see who Anna becomes from a mile off but I loved the build up you put into it. Also after Lana and Tom's last "GOODBYE". I feel like she probably should have been on shock for a while longer than was written but I understand that the story was about to speed back up so Im not to upset by that. overall an amazing story and I actually found out about your book from your TikTok so you have another super fan Mark keep it up my man!!
