Publisher's summary

One little word could make all the difference in your life…but why is it so hard to say it?

Being a highly sensitive person means you’re probably highly misunderstood and you may feel like you’re too empathetic for your own good. Your intuition and empathy create situations where you always put others first and say “yes” to everything, regardless of how you feel or what you need. As a result, you end up in unhealthy relationship dynamics that leave you exhausted, resentful, and stressed.

This guide was specially written for highly sensitive people like you, whose empathetic nature can sometimes be used against them.

In The Highly Sensitive Person's Guide to Finally Stop People-Pleasing, you will discover:

  • How to accept your highly sensitive qualities and fully embrace them as your biggest strengths
  • Why your people-pleasing may be having an opposite effect–it may be making people feel uncomfortable
  • Seven necessary boundaries you need to set in your life to protect your energy and maintain your connection with yourself
  • The subconscious beliefs from childhood you may still be holding on to that are keeping you in unhealthy relationship patterns
  • Self-care practices to help you prioritize your own needs and take charge of your emotions
  • How to say “no”–and really mean it–without feeling guilty
  • Bonus Chapter: How to help your friends and family understand and support your unique needs as a highly sensitive person

By making yourself a priority, you become a healthier version of yourself. Let this guide how you how to utilize the power of your heightened sensitivity while overcoming your people-pleasing and self-defeating tendencies at the same time.

Well-written!

This book was well-written by the author. I'm not sure whether I'm an HSP, but if not, I come close. I've spent my whole life trying to satisfy others, only to get angry when I fail or when my efforts go unnoticed. The author does such a wonderful job of helping me put everything into perspective. This offers the resources needed to establish boundaries and break out of this insane loop. For a very long time, I'll retain this as a reference. Excellent work!

Very helpful book about HSP

I have newly discovered my tendencies as an HSP. I thought this book was very informative and well-written. It provided a lot of insight into what it means to be an HSP, how to care for yourself appropriately. The narrator was great as well. I would recommend!

Helpful Book Guide!

I'm actually finding an Audiobook like this for quite a long time, because I have a lot of questions in my mind. I'm starting to question myself why am I being like this, I am a people pleaser and I feel like I'm not good enough if I didn't do that. Then I found out the being like that is not normal, I don't want my past trauma to be a hindrance of what I am becoming in the future. I would like to commend the author for doing such a wonderful book like this, I learned a lot and promised myself to not do the same mistakes over and over again.
