Good but don’t spend the credit. They have the whole short story collection in one volume for the same amount of credits

I loved it but it’s short. It was a waisted credit since audible offers the whole short story collection in one volume for the same amount of credits

Masterfully Compact Sci Fi

Amazingly compact story of loss and recovery with two of the best characters from the Expanse universe. Metaphor blended in throughout the entire work results in a one-of-a-kind, satisfying, Belter cocktail.

why 0.5

I know the story happens before Leviathan Wakes but it somehow felt odd re-reading it before re-reading Leviathan Wakes. Thanks to the authors for a great series one of the best & one of my favorites up there with Clavell, Michener, and Clancy THANK YOU

Love the expanse series but…

I liked the voice actors & the story, but it felt too short at the end. I left feeling like I missed something.

A Taste of What’s to Come…

What exactly happened to Colonel Fred Johnson that has lead to him being known as the Butcher of Anderson Station? This is what I asked my self when I first read Leviathan Wakes (the Expanse, Book 1). This short story answers that question in such a gratifying way. War is a terrible thing and people can be pushed to do terrible things. Colonel Johnson is out in a situation that pushes his limits and shows what a person must do when it comes down to the wire. This was an awesome entry into the Expanse literary Universe and a must read for any Expanse fan! Happy reading, everyone.

Extra info on Anderson

I love the little side stories. Very insightful on what happened in Anderson Station.

Helps understand the butcher and why he is working for the side he is working for.

filling in the gaps

Boy I'm sooooooo happy 😊 to finally learn the fate of the Butcher. All throughout the Expanse the adventures of the Butcher are only briefly touched upon. It is nice to finally have the FULL STORY!!!!
