Publisher's summary

Being a warrior in a garden is pretty good, but being a necromancer is better.

For obvious reasons Sylver preferred warzones to gardens, but aside from the guns, sunlight, and other oddities, there wasn't much to complain about.

Not to mention he already had a new ally, a new class, a ton of levels, didn't make all that many enemies, and most importantly, at the end of this he was going to finally find Edmund.

The only thing left in his way was a parasitic mass of metal, several nuclear explosions, some sort of giant octopus, a group of creatures that were responsible for this realm's destruction, and the most horrendous tree Sylver had ever had the displeasure to lay his eyes on.

Book 4 of this Fantasy LitRPG Series about a reincarnated necromancer growing in power and finding his way in a new world where the rules have changed vastly since he last "lived."

About the series: With equal parts humor and dark sorcery action, expect loads of skill progression, deep worldbuilding, and unforgettable characters in this story which had nearly 10 million views on Royal Road. Now completely revised and re-edited for Kindle & Audible.

Direct Continuation

Just as good as the previous ones, in both content and character. The author's tendency to not explain scene changes gets a bit worse and makes a few sections mildly incoherent, but it’s only two or three times.

Like all the other books in this series, it’s best binged back-to-back with the previous books, as characters are never reintroduced, and plot points rarely are.

Another stand out of the series

One thing I really enjoy is how the "ending" of the book is handled. Most books either finish right before the end of an arc with cliffhangers or right after it.
Not this one, you get the full ice world arc and a good bit of aftermath set up for the next book. It's not an abrupt ending that makes you unsatisfied but also has interesting new plots to want you to get more.

For most I'd say read the last book and this one as a pair. Part one and two. Enjoyed it a lot.

I love this series so much

This series is the kind you dread when you realize that each book is 20 plus hours long. Not because you think it's going to be a pain to get through but because you realize that it's not enough. I want ever book to be 40 hours hell 100 hours long because it's so good. I know that not feasible because the writer has a life to live but that's how I feel. The twist and turns. Application of magic and strategy. The grim nature of the setting. The character development. The level of philosophy and it's application to a world of magical beings that can do almost anything. The freaking scale of it is so top notch. If you like cosmic horror then you get it here in spades. Like I said in previous reviews that I wouldn't be friends with a guy like Sylver but holy crap is he an interesting character. He is what a old monster should be and the story reflects that so elegantly. I don't want spoil anything because I don't need to. This series is so great that it speaks for itself loud and clear. Also I don't want to rob anybody of the experience I just had. I couldn't recommend this series enough.

Another spectacular entry in a wonderful series

Gotta say, Kennit hit it out of the park with this one, more great lines from Sylver, more descriptive imagery, all good things.

Fitting End...Till the next book!

I'm not the best when it comes to listening to audio books or reading. Sure I can do it for a full day, but I tend to go back and re listen to chapters and sometimes even books I've gone through so I can understand things better. Now this series I have done that the most, it's not a bad thing, I'm just not the brightest at putting 2 and 2 together. Or maybe I misread/heard something and want to make sure. This series I feel I do that the most. Some parts can be a little confusing in my opinion and require me to go back and listen to make sure I got it right. No spoilers, but for example there's a part in the middle where Sylver/(Todd) meets a few new people and the "how" he met them was a little vague to me. But overall I can say I am throughly enjoying the series! Can't wait for more shades to evloved/or change and potentially see the rest of Sylvers friends. BUT this is a solid listen with a great world that is building. I really look forward to the next installments and can't wait to pick them up day 1!

I've been unable to step away from this series because its so darn good

sylver is exactly what would happen if you gave a power gamer ultimate power then took it away to send him on fetch quests to get it back .

he's GOING to get the power back and hes GOING to flip your table over and slash your tires and knock over your mailbox on the way out.

the only other character in fiction i love as much as sylver is sam vimes from discworld.

this series deserves as much publicity as it can get

ps if the author reads this . texas is fantastic and sylver should breed a pack of them at home
