Publisher's summary
In the first book, a normal spring morning cascades into a nightmare as 1.8 billion children simultaneously fall ill and then vanish from the face of the earth. Increased natural disasters, onslaught of disease and other phenomena throws the world into chaos as it balances on the brink of extinction. Following the death of her son, Mera Stevens gathers the courage and strength she needs to trek across a dying country in search of her daughter. She is joined by others on this mission, including Alex Sans. After they find Mera's daughter they begin their search for the New Jerusalem, a urban legend said to hold the cure and hope.
Their journey is not easy and they learn their most deadly obstacles are the infected, known as Sleepers. Their journey does not end as they hope.
In Sleepers 2, Alex is left behind to take over and he soon discovers nothing is as it seems, including the "New Jerusalem". The origin of the virus comes to light and Alex and the group fight to find salvation in a dark dangerous world. A world that is far from ending. A world that thrives but not with human life. The Sleepers now mass and more than that, they have awakened into their next deadly phase.
Sleepers 2 is part of the Sleepers Trilogy.

Since childhood Nila Carter has been made to spend every weekend at the family cabin. In her teenage years she believes it to be a prison; as an adult it becomes her sanctuary and means to survive. Awful narration and sound editing
I normally don’t write reviews, especially negative ones, but dear listener beware. This audiobook just has the most awful audio editing possible (sound goes up and down, you can hear the "clicks" from whenever the narrator stopped recording; etc) and don’t even get me started with the gross swallowing/lip smacking sounds 🤢
It’s just not worth the money.

Horrible narrator
Any additional comments?
I just found this series and I loved the first novel. I was so excited to listen to the second one, but I could not make it past the first few hours. Why didn't they use the same narrator from the first book. Doesn't anyone listen to these people before they hire them. Anyway, it was the typical bad narrator stuff- the smacking and gross mouth noises. What a shame!

An okay book
What did you like best about Sleepers 2? What did you like least?
The story line in Sleepers 2 wasn't as good as in the original book. What made it harder to follow is the narrator, who wasn't good at all. I was ready for the book to end.
Would you recommend Sleepers 2 to your friends? Why or why not?
maybe
How did the narrator detract from the book?
poor audio quality, terrible narration/dramatization, didn't bring the book to life.
