About this listen
Brave knights. Cunning bandits. Fire-breathing dragons. Forbidden lovers. Happily-ever-afters.
3 great stories in one box set collection!
Don’t believe what they tell you about Robin Hood, outlaw of Sherwood Forest. There never was such a man. But there is a woman, and that’s me, Robynne: fox shifter, master archer, and jaded outlaw with a fierce desire for justice.
The legends are just as wrong about the Merry Men. Little John is a stubborn, muscle-bound bear shifter — and not at all little in all the best places. Friar Tuck is a sexy-as-sin lion shifter whose dreams of becoming a knight are dashed by family commitments. Now, he’s praying for a miracle — and a little action. Any action.
And when it comes to women like Willa Scarlet and Maid Marian… Well, I’ll let those heroines tell their own stories when they find a spare moment from kicking asses…
A steamy, suspenseful paranormal romance series that corrects all the errors of the Robin Hood legends. If you enjoyed the humor of The Princess Bride and the action-packed romance of Outlander, you’ll love this fresh new twist on a classic, complete with brave knights, cunning bandits, fire-breathing dragons, and forbidden lovers.
This three-story bundle includes Book 1, Tempting the Sheriff, Book 2, Tempting the Outlaw, and Book 3, Tempting the Maiden. Get your copy of Sherwood Forest Shifters today!

Story
After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I'd find the cure for what ravaged her and leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me. Four years later, I received an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it's rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before, those whose bones are said to make up the island's white sandy shores. And restless ghosts aren't even its most daunting peculiarity.

I really enjoyed this series!
Book 1: Interesting retelling of an old story!
I'm not into historical time periods these days, so it took me a bit to get into it. Totally a me thing as the story was well-written and well-performed! After about a 30 or so minutes, I was completely hooked and had to finish it one sitting. I absolutely loved the dual narration! I think this is the second audiobook I've had that and I'm in love with it.
Robynne and Daniel are getting a second chance. I loved how she didn't turn into a sappy, helpless woman. She stayed a strong leader. Daniel was strong and competent! He didn't try to dim her strength which made him easy to like. They were an easy couple to root for. I loved the Merry Men as well and am looking forward to their stories.
Book 2: Fun engaging story!
I really enjoyed listening to this story! Little John and Willa were hilarious. I was frequently laughing at their interactions. I especially loved log fight. Poor Tuck! The narrators did a fabulous job! Looking forward to book three!
Book 3: Satisfying conclusion!
The book concludes the trilogy by bringing Marian and Tuck together. They're a sweet couple who deal with the obstacles facing them as a team. I enjoyed how Prince John and Lord Guy's sister (name escapes me) were handled. The return of the wayward King Richard held an interesting twist.
As someone who doesn't generally enjoy epilogues, I truly enjoyed this one.
Disclosure: I received a free copy of the audiobook.

Such a fun series!! All 3 books!
Great to get the whole series in 1 set! Love that! Robin Hood reimagined too! Love it!
Both narrators did great too and the audio was a good production. Enjoyed the listen!
Book 1 - Tempting the Sheriff
Robin Hood with some twists! Love fairy tale re-imaginings! Add in shifters and I’m loving it even more! Fox shifter Robynne has an idiot brother, who is causing mischief by robbing the rich, so she has to essentially clean up after him and the other merrymen. She’s in a less than ideal situation, but her loyalty and good heart shine through. A bit of a curve ball is thrown her way, when a love she thought dead re-emerges, but they aren’t exactly working in the same circles. Turns out lost love Daniel is the new sheriff of Nottingham! Love their connection!! Their feelings are so sweet and touching! Love how this second chance romance develops. And he’s a dragon shifter! Wonderful! This isn’t exactly a cliffhanger, but there is more story to be told for this world and these characters. Looking forward to the rest of the series! A fun read!
Book 2 - Tempting the Outlaw
Fun series!! This continues the story from the first book, but focuses on Little John and new character, Willa Scarlet. Love that this is Robin Hood reimagined! Willa has been tasked with getting a treasure stolen by the great thieves Robin Hood and the Merrymen, but things don’t quite go as planned. Willa needs to take matters into her own hands, but that puts her on the wanted list of Nottingham. Willa needs some help from Robin and company, but gets off on the wrong foot with John. A bit of forced proximity helps these two stubborn people see things differently. Always enjoy the shifter aspect too! Looking forward to the next book!
Book 3 - Tempting the Maiden
Enjoyed this whole series!! I was fully on board for the Robin Hood aspects for this series and the addition of shifters. So fun! Gotta love some sweet romance too! This one has Marian and Tuck as the leads, but Robynne Hood and the Merrymen are along for the ride too. A dash of intrigue and action as they work towards helping those in need and take down the corrupt. Entertained the whole time!

Great series!
I have reviewed each of these books separately and you are welcome to look up those detailed reviews. All I am going to say here is that this is the way to listen to these books - one after the other. Anna turns the Robin Hood story upside down. First, all the main characters are shifters. Perhaps more importantly, Robynne is a female and the Sheriff of Nottingham is not the bad guy. In fact, he was Robynne's childhood love. Their story will take all three books to finish, but you will also get more love stories as books two and three have different primary characters.
You will love the female narrator, Kelsey, the usual one Anna uses. Her voice is perfect for the story, and as an added bonus we get a male narrator also! So, put in your earbuds or charge up your Bluetooth speaker and get ready for an epic adventure. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Love a series of books
Loved this series. It was nice to continue the three books in this series without having to click into each book individually.
Tempting the sheriff : What a great spin on a classic story. Robynne Hood and Daniel Sheriff of Nottingham are lovers that have been separated by the Crusades. The story that is told will keep you spellbound. It has everything a book needs - action, intrigue, honor, dignity and steamy action.
Tempting the Outlaw: Willa and John’s story is definitely a new take on Robin Hood. Got to say I love strong characters and both of these are very well matched.
Tempting the Maiden: Perfect ending to the series. Marian and Tuck’s story will keep you entertained! Truly loved this series

book 1: a retelling of Robin hood. Which in this case happens to be a female I must say this is a MUST listen.
book 2: in this second story we are getting Willa and John's (Little) story. Willa is sent to actually be robbed by the bandits instead of prince john getting his hands on the treasure chest. Instead she finds her fated mate.
book 3: even though this book concentrated on Marian and Tuck I like how as a whole this series is wrapped up. A series worth checking out if you enjoy retelling twists on fairy tales.

Boxset best way to listen to continuing storyline.
Box sets are a fantastic way to listen to a continuing storyline without the wait or having to toggle to the next book manually.
It works especially well with these books as the storyline flows across all three books.
I would have just liked the additional epilogues included.
I was kindly gifted this box set by the author but I already had the individual books in my audible library.
1 - TEMPTING THE SHERIFF
AUDIBLE REVIEW
Very enjoyable in audible with both narrators doing a great job.
I found the story more enjoyable in audible and the story flowed well.
Slows a little bit at one point but otherwise fully entertaining.
BOOK REVIEW
4.5 stars
I have never been a big fan of the retelling of fairytales but the shifter element turned this for me.
But this is a truly enjoyable reinvention of a story that has been done to death in the movies.
A female outlaw, who lives outside the structures that women are meant to abide by at the time this story is set. Robynne is also a shifter, a wily, cunning and crafty fox to be exact.
Her love interest and fated mate is Daniel, the temporary sheriff of Nottingham who has replaced the evil sheriff we know from past stories, and someone from her past.
I enjoyed how the author weaves historical fiction into an engaging tale.
One cannot help but wish the outlaws good fortune.
The typical misinformed accusations and abuse of innocent people, the powerful and arrogant machinations of those in power, and the silliness and sweetness of the outlaws themselves makes a beguiling tale to read.
Though this is a HFN between Robynne and Daniel as their story runs through the series, you don’t feel cheated.
Cannot wait to read the next book.
2 - TEMPTING THE OUTLAW
AUDIBLE
Very enjoyable in audible with both narrators doing a great job. Though I found the male narrators female voices a bit weak.
Still found Willa’s attitude rude, demeaning and stubborn. Even though she admits to her faults, it is annoying.
BOOK REVIEW
4 stars
Though I understand the struggles of women in those times of being just chattel, Willa is just a bit too women’s liber in her attitude and thinking. To be truthful, she is quite rude, opinionated and demeaning at times.
Though she does apologise quite nicely to John, she then goes back to being stubborn, with disastrous results.
Thankfully she learns her lesson.
The second half is much more enjoyable story wise for me as we get to some seriously good situations.
3 - TEMPTING THE MAIDEN
AUDIBLE
Loved this in audible. It was my favourite book in this series. Not because it winds everything up, though it does that nicely, but because it played out so well.
BOOK REVIEW
5 stars
Such a fun read and it really plays out so well with the previous two books.
I loved the secret side Mariane had and how that worked.
The near ending was nail biting and a great relief when King Richard turned up.
But the best part was from that point on.
It was superb. Really glad the traitorous monk was dealt with.

Sherwood Forest Shifters Collection
This review encompasses all three books in the Sherwood Forest Shifters series.
Tempting the Sheriff - Book 1
Ms. Lowe has done it again and wrote a great story with this first book in the Sherwood Forrest Shifters series. This is a modern-day version of Robin Hood where Robynne Hood is a woman. The book had humor as well as romance. Robynne is a fox shifter and a master archer. Daniel is a dragon shifter. They have been apart for many years and now Daniel is the acting sheriff of Nottingham. Daniel's predecessor was a horrible and cruel man. Robynne and Daniel were mates/lovers on opposite sides of the law. It was great that he was alive after being away for so long. Robynne's brother, Robert Hood, along with his merry men, was so funny at times and a little dense. He was able to take from the wealthy (especially women) so easily. Robynne and Daniel meet and although there are still feelings, can she trust him. I love when Ms. Lowe mentioned in the book "a better life for lesser off souls." It kind of makes you see Robert Hood's point of view. Kelsey Osborne and Chris Merlin did a great job with the narration. Chris is a very nice addition to the team.
Tempting the Outlaw - Book 2
Willa and her group met the only honest thieves in the forest who would not rob them, thanks to John Little. When the coach was stopped, there was recognition between Willa, a human and John, a bear shifter. He initially intended to rob the coach but in an attempt to repay a good deed Willa did in his past, he wants to let the coach go. Even Robert Hood was surprised. It was so funny when Robert was intimidated by a woman. I loved it! Willa is not happy about this because she is on a mission for her mistress' treasure not to reach Nottingham and end up in the hands of the horrible Prince John. Unfortunately, they do reach it with the treasure and Willa was a bad@ss like Robynne Hood. She was able to escape using a personal female issue. She was able to take some of the jewels, hide them, and get back to the forest. Like book 1, this book also had humor, suspense, and romance and I found the characters very likeable. Both Robynne and Willa were such strong women.
Tempting the Maiden - Book 3
This is the last book in the Sherwood Forest Shifters series and it was a fun listen. All of the books in the series were fun and enjoyable. This book had plenty of action and suspense as well as romance and humor. Friar Tuck was meant to be a knight (in his heart) but instead, third born Tuck was to be a priest (he has an out should he choose to use it). Maid Marian is a Noble lady. Although they are a perfect match, destiny had other ideas. Marian sought refuge in a library in the monastery and was found by Tuck. She was determined not to marry the horrible Prince John who is so evil that you are cheering for her to outsmart him. Prince John is something else and I wanted to b!tch slap him for his terrible plans to steal the throne. Luckily, Marian is a very strong woman, which I love. It was so funny all of the booby traps that Marian set in case anyone tried to enter the room she occupied in the monastery. Marian and Tuck are attracted to each other and Tuck will do whatever he can to keep her safe. This series is a great take on Robin/Robynne Hood and her merrymen as well as three very strong women - Robynne, Willa and Marian. A lot happens in this book so check it out - you will not be disappointed. Ms. Lowe did a great job in tying up everything nicely for the couples, including Robert Hood. I highly recommend the entire series. Kelsey Osborne and Chris Merlin did a great job with the narration. As I mentioned in a previous review, Chris is a great addition to the team.

RECOMMENDED ROMANCE ADVENTURE.🐺💖🐲
Book 1: RECOMMENDED ROMANCE ADVENTURE.🐺💖🐲
GOOD READING AND LISTENING RELIABILITY is a constant with Anna Lowe's books. The stories inspire empathy and make the characters into our friends. The best part is that mates find a way through adversity to their happy ever after. This start to the series has left me happily content and looking forward to the rest of the series. RECOMMENDED ROMANCE ADVENTURE.
You will love the narration, two words in I was sold, that sheriff is something else. Robynne's voice matched her exactly.
Book 2: 🐻👩🦰FEEL GOOD ROMANTIC ADVENTURE🐻👩🦰
FEEL GOOD ROMANTIC ACTION ADVENTURE with Robynne Hood and the enthusiastic band of merry men, although there was this one guy not very enthusiastic and that is when things get very interesting. Anna Lowe manages to pack her stories full of the characters back story, action packed present and promise of a magical mate filled future. Good and evil always fight for balance but here those with good hearts come out on top in a feel good ending with the promise of another characters story to come. Wonderfully narrated male deep rumbly voices by Chris Merlin and perky, independent female voices by Kelsey Osborne, always a pleasure to listen too.
RECOMMENDED PARANORMAL ROMANTIC ADVENTURE.
Book 3: LONG LIVE THE KING
LONG LIVE THE KING! Now which king l meant you will have to discover for yourself as you wont be getting any spoilers from me.
If this is the last in this series l am sad to see the happy, good natured characters go but they do deserve their own happy ending so alls well that ends well right?
Now there are some loving sex scenes so be warned.
As usual Anna Lowe's book never fail to entertain and tell an action packed tale of good triumphing over evil despite the odds, o course fate does tend to lend a hand.
Perfectly narrated an a rich yummy male voice for those wholesome shifter men and the women's voices done just right to convey their intelligence and natures.
RECOMMENDED PARANORMAL ADVENTURE SERIES. RECOMMENDED AUTHOR.
